Apparently we have to take oaths to set the teams we root for on HB. No one can ever pick a team as a joke or anything because the real team we root for is utterly incompetent, no.

I read on the interwebs that you’re a Knights fan now and I’m mad as all hell about it.
The #sens have signed D Jake Sanderson to a whopper extension: 8 years x $8.05 million, for a total of $64.4 million, that kicks in during 2024-25 season.
Ottawa has their core completely locked up. Sanderson will be the 5th player on the roster in the $8 million AAV range.

His agent's reply: We appreciate your offer, but we're going to play out next season and see what the salary landscape looks like at that point. - kingcong39
Whether it’s this offseason or next, the Sanderson contract is the best comparable regardless.
Maybe he makes an extra $5M over the course of the deal if he waits till next year, but $68M guaranteed would be tough to pass up if it were me.

Also the lowest reasonable one. He should be aiming higher.
Ekblad signed for the equivalent of 8.6m. Don't think he's signing early for less than that. Probably take 9m+.

$68mm is your vibe…maybe Power has different vibes?

At what point does Adams ask Levi to use his jedi powers to get Dahlin and Power to sign?
Also the lowest reasonable one. He should be aiming higher.

If Power takes another step forward and looks like a top 10 defender in the league, $9M per would be the floor, and that's putting aside any desire he and his agent may have to want to sign for shorter term deals to continue to cash in as the cap really rises, not that I think he'll want to do that.
