it's weird that him and donnie absolutely refuse to just say it, it's like (frank)ing charades with them.
"say playoffs without using the word 'playoffs'" is what this entire offseason has been about.
"feel free to say the word"
just (frank)ing say it guy. jesus - TheSabresTaco
That was hilarious. "You know you shouldn't be afraid to say that word"
Meanwhile he's avoiding saying it like Beetlejuice is going to appear if he says "playoffs" |

like broads said, it's annoying. it's stupid and annoying.
regardless, he made it generally clear their intentions on winning.

Funny that the only post I've seen from you, ever, that uses correct grammar is this one. Punctuation not there but we'll take the small victories.
I guess the secret is not using the words are, our, hour, their, they're, there, bear, hair...I used to spell "available" wrong for years, and you got it right! Gold Star Day!
Now, if you want some tips for making Peking duck, I can help. It's one of my best dishes. Get a whole duck, 5-6 pounds. First, pour boiling water all over it, to shrink the skin. Pour a little honey/water mixture over it, pat dry, and hang it in a cool, drafty place for at least 8 hours (preferably more). The skin gets dry, like paper. Then you roast it in the upper-third of the oven on a wire rack, over a pan of water to catch the drippings. Gotta flip it a couple times so the skin gets reddish-brown all over. Let it cool, and the cut all the crackly skin off into pieces, and shred all the meat. This takes time but is so worth it. It also takes time to make Chinese "pancakes", which are simple flour and water-based soft taco shells, with a little sesame oil. To each pancake, add some crackle, some meat, hoisin sauce (sweet red bean paste), chopped green onions (green parts only!) and get ready for the best food orgasm you've ever had.
You're welcome. - LandlordTom

I don't remember the exact question, but it would be nice to hear -
"We're ending the drought this year. That's our expectation. To win and compete this year. I'm not concerned about anything else " |

Don't think it's good news when one of your best prospects will probably miss most of Camp. Guess it makes the decision easier. - Buff36
It's a lot better than month to month. Longterm should be no issues. Won't make the team out of camp now which isn't horrible |

it's keying in on speech patterns and knowing his history of what he does vs what he says. He's actually a pretty honest GM. He's extremely careful with hard expectations but he insinuates and floats his internal thoughts without outright 'saying' them.
He's been true to his word his entire tenure, whether or not people like what he's said or done is something entirely different.

I can understand this. "our window is open" is good enough for me, but something more solid, as the above, would be gratifying.

I'm not too sure he would anyway because of his size. I'm pretty disappointed though regardless.
Another thing Kevo generally spoke about was how he balanced what was available on the market vs the internal competition, and I think it's pretty interesting that he hasn't made a move. Speaks volumes to some of the guys vying for the Quinn spot, and eventually the Olofsson spot.
I know there are folks (myself included) disappointed he didn't do anything up front, but I'm also pretty excited to see the prospects battle. I mean, we wanted that, right? For our draft picks to make actual impacts? |

"Our goal this year is to scrap our plan of building from within, which I have been publicly saying we are going to do for 3 years now, and mortgage part of our future so that an insecure portion of fans can rejoice that we made it to the playoffs with a bunch of high-priced trade and free-agent signings, just like we tried to do after drafting Jack Eichel, but we will ultimately get bounced in round one and never have the depth it takes to go further due to the short-sighted nature of what some fans want to do" is what many want to hear. adams insinuated that he's trying to get the extensions done before the season starts.
as much as he hates timelines and pressure, and boy does he hate them, he couldn't beat far enough around the bush that he wants them done before the start of the season. - TheSabresTaco

dahlin-clifton is mildly interesting.
A lot of the pairs, pretty much all the pairs on F and D are potential in-season pairs.
gonna pay close attention to greenway-jost-olofsson. maybe he won't tie cement blocks to everyone's feet this year. |
