Didn’t hear much of the presser, but loved hearing Adams say he feels like goalie is a position of strength with Levi and 6K. Been saying it’s the perfect goalie tandem for this team all off season. It’s so great always being so right on this board. Can’t wait for the season.

Shoulders are weird. Broke my collar bone twice in less than a year. I get lingering pain if I don't workout consistently. And its not even the worst like at my collar bone its more the Shoulder blade.
First time didn't heal properly so I was in like a Chinese finger trap the second time around. - DirtyDan
Had a torn deltoid. 3 months physical therapy and about 15 months total until it wasn’t tender and painful.
“I’d probably get rid of the no-goal for kicks. I’d love it if you could kick in a puck. I think that should be a goal. If you have the ability to redirect a pass with your skate or kick it in, I think that’s a skill. I think that’s not an easy thing to do. So, I think that should be a goal for sure. You can kick it anywhere on the ice, except for in the net. So I think it should be a goal. Especially the fact that a lot of times the [defense] ties you up in front of the net and the only thing you can use are your feet.”

I disagree. Go play soccer you want to kick a goal in.
By that logic, in the NFL you should be able to catch the ball on a bounce because you can recover a fumble on one.

That would have helped JP Losman immensely...especially the 15 yard over the middle where he would throw it 5 yards down or 30 yards...got to hope for the bounce back on those overthrown.

Tage says it: on the ice, a player can kick the puck anywhere, anytime....except into the net. It's illogical.
If soccer players could use their hands all over the field but not to score, that would be a fair comparison.
Fumbles require a player to have possession of the ball first, unlike a bounced pass.

Wow really got me with this one, so wise. The thing that stays on the ground goes near feet and gets kicked, how intense.
No.
I equated it properly. You have a stick and a puck. Both touch the ground. You kick it as a defensive tactic, and to score on a defensive maneuver is ridiculous.
The NFL football stays in the air or off the ground 99% of the time. To catch it off a bounce is the equivalent in it’s sport to kicking a puck in for a goal. It was a proper analogy.

Players only kick the puck as a defensive tactic? Is that your position?

Man, I usually mostly lurk and don't engage folks here, for a number of reasons. Among those reasons are the ease of which most get butthurt when someone gives them a jab or, God forbid, uses logic to point out perceived flaws (or emotional overreactions) in their arguments. I really did not expect you, of all people, to be so sensitive. Duly noted.
I am finding it kinda exciting getting a rise out of HB-ers who I see having a history of being, shall we say, forceful. In your case, erratic would be a better word...maybe spirited if one was being generous.
Now, if you really want to tickle your taste buds, I make a killer marinade for flank steak. Get some good quality soy sauce, about a quarter cup, and whisk in 3 tablespoons olive oil. Add 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar and 3 Tbsp brown sugar...I prefer dark but light is ok. Then 1 teaspoon each ground fresh ginger, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper. No need for salt cuz of the soy sauce. Soak that steak at least 4 hours but no more than 24, pat it dry, and grill over medium-high for 6 minutes per side (for a 2-3 pound flanker). Flank has to be medium rare, no more. Let rest and cut against the grain. The juice and blood that ends up on the platter is liquid friggin gold.
Kicking at a puck is not strictly a "defensive maneuver". A player's skates are on the ice along with the puck and stick. How many times a game does a player kick the puck forward?
