If we are bargain bin shopping for a goalie might as well stick with ukka pekka suckagain. - IndianaSabresFan
Oh I get that UPL is horrendous.
I almost get the Comrie part. I would like to see what he can do healthy. But I’m 90% sure he is either always hurt or stinks or both |

Atleast he's having Conversations. - Buff36
“Tried”
Now he’s fully invested in the current team and preseason
See where kids are at
They will give Benson his 10 games if he can show he can compete and not look completely out of place.
Savoie same deal but he needs to get healthy |

Your fun Bills stat of the day, courtesy of the Washington Post:
One way to illustrate how dangerous Allen is — combining arm strength, athleticism and creativity — is this: touchdown passes on the run.
Next Gen Stats defines “on the run” as anytime a quarterback is moving 8 mph or faster. In Week 2, Allen was elite on the run, completing 7 of 8 passes for 73 yards and two scores. He has thrown 12 touchdowns on the run since 2022, three more than any other quarterback. |

DEVON TOEWS WANTS TO FINISH HIS CAREER WITH THE AVALANCHE
THE SCORE: cited Colorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews telling Mile High Sports’ Aarif Deen that he wants to remain with the club for the remainder of his career. Toews, 29, is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Toews told Deen that he’d rather not have contract extension talks drag on into the coming season. He’s earning an average annual value of $4.1 million on his current contract but his solid play could make the case for him to double his money on his next deal.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Avalanche only have $10 million in projected cap space with 13 players under contract for next season. If Gabriel Landeskog’s ongoing knee injury ends his career they will keep him on long-term injury reserve. That will give them the cap flexibility to re-sign Toews. Otherwise, they’ll have to shed salary to keep him. |

I would give Kane a 75% chance of signing here.
The Quinn injury changed everything.
It also put a pause on trading Olofsson.
It changed the entire offseason. Adams still looking for a goalie but won’t pay up.
So here we are - Sabretooth9
75% is crazy.
Isn't Quinn likely to be back before Kane?

On the Zegras topic, and adding a forward in general, I've had it up to my eyeballs with the commentary that the Sabres have plenty of offense.
Do they need a more structured, responsible defensive system? For sure.
However, a team can never have enough offense, especially when injuries inevitably occur. |

Would rather a big fish though than Mittelstadt with nice flow.

I've mentioned Pettersson multiple times in the past.
Reality is neither is going to happen. |

like jordan and fast for the canes
Pageau comes to mind as I see a lot of chatter from the islanders since locking horvat up for 8 years |

The issue being, apart from Timo Meier who had contract uncertainty, there hasn’t been a big fish available.
Even in Pettersson’s case, that’s probably a next offseason move if at all.

Strange topic. Bringing back all their F's is just insane to me. Couple prospects may be ready, many 12-18 months out.
With their cap space, it was a perfect summer for some 1 year UFA's. They just seem incredibly uncomfortable adding anyone they don't know and/or way too content with what they have.

Yes, but they still said they wanted to remain in Buffalo, they loved the fans, it’s special to play here, hockey means more here, blah blah blah.
The world would be a better place if we just stopped interviewing hockey players - they all say the exact same meaningless crap every day. The only reason journalists still do it is because journalists are lazy. It’s much easier to regurgitate three minutes of a player telling us they need to get pucks in deep and take it one shift at a time while giving 110%, than to sit down and write some actual analysis of the game. |

Journalists also do it in the hopes that a player or players go off the rails in an interview sometimes. |

Why if they put in a structured D scheme do they drop to 15th. If played right and with the Sabres speed and breakouts. It could actually create more offense. |
