Oddly enough every time I think about upl I get this weird feeling that he could still be something more.
If they can coach the wild movement out of his game there is improvement to be had.
Maybe its just wishful thinking because I know our season hinges on it |

The Lions just drafted a RB 12th overall - sbroads24
I think they will use him as a hybrid RB/WR as the season goes on.
He did well with the touches he received.
As long as they continue their trajectory, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt |

Gibbs is a dawg, slipped on a clear TD right before the Ra TD. Guy can take some bumps. Was turning nothing plays into something.
They need to use him on first down. |

You should. Being physical is overrated and listening to Andrew Peters / Craig rivet is not the way to go.
Last years team had no issues at all with scoring and playing chippy. They threw the least amount of checks in the NHL
I truly don’t believe if we played more physical, UPL or Comrie would’ve made anymore saves - Sabretooth9
Haven't listened to those guys in 2 years.
Playoffs, do you watch them?
Do you want a team rhat gets to the playoffs then fails repeatedly when the physicality ramps up Significantly.
Sure, making the Playoffs is the first step but the dream is winning it all. |

He's going to be fun to watch and an excellent player but 12th for a hybrid RB/WR is way too high.
Ironic part is if they had prime Stafford instead of Goff they might be NFC favorites |

I think a lot of people still have the 80's- early 90's sense of Physical still on the mind. the days of thunderous checks and running around hitting everything is gone.
IMO playing physical just means playing the game right. ALWAYS finish your checks, everyone should be doing that. You create doubt in the opposing D-mans mind when he knows every single time he is going back to play the puck that a forward is going to hit him, it don't have to be a hard check just constant contact. - hehateme
I’m not even some old guy that watched those eras 😂
And it’s unrealistic to play an entire 82 game season like that.
I liked what the team did last year. They could get chippy and hit if they wanted to. That showed they were in the game and invested. They didn’t take poop from anyone.
The greenways of the world actually hurt this team. He is less skilled, not a great skater, and would run around to finish checks and took himself out of the play
I don’t want that |

Agreed. That guy is amazing and they literally played him only 27% of the snaps. If the lions lost. I would start blaming the coach with not playing him more
Montgomery just got the volume and wasn’t efficient |

So you want Milan Lucic types, he signed with Boston though.

What are you talking about, nobody said anything about SLOW. Jesus Christ there are guys 6'4 in the NHL that can skate and Hit. Nobody said knuckledragger. - Buff36
It’s this kind of obstinate obtuseness that confirms thats a sock puppet account for that other guy who constantly does the exact same thing. |
