Just the disruption of a normal off-season and training camp, guys in and out of the lineup, hell, I'm sure little to no fans in buildings had an impact. It was far from a normal season. All of it had an effect.

Good call. UPL is younger, but not even cheaper. Comrie would cost them more and be a downgrade. Seems odd to me as well.

I changed from .912 to .910, sorry.

League average was that for the last season, if you want to use a 1 year sample size, fine, but obviously using a smaller sample is less accurate usually. The 20 year average is over .910 still, that's all goaltenders, not just starters, that's backups and ebugs too.

Starter average across the league would certainly be .915+ as 14 teams had a goaltender achieve that mark last season.

Your whole argument is based on looking at Hockey Reference for a couple minutes versus an in depth study, which you clearly did not look at.

Yout 20 year average is the misleading stat since the seasonal SV% has been in year over year decline for 6 or 7 years.
What is more misleading, using current data on a consistent trend line, or using outdated data in an average calculation based laargerly on out of touch data from 10 -20 years ago?

- Rosen has easily been the best player on the ice. Really impressive. Surprisingly fast.
- Kulich is so, so good. Looks like a 10 year vet. Numerous impressive passes.
- Benson is in fact a hound. He and savoie play really fast together.
- Nudeaus skating will keep him from playing in the league
- it's odd not seeing Brett Murray here for the 9th time
