Give Adams credit on this one, when he said he was going to look at the injuries situation from 2 seasons ago it has improved.
Is it luck, change in how they manage the players health, or does Adams have healing powers with those eyes? - washedup20

They still need to do a full evaluation. Don’t know the extent of the injury yet. - ImThatGuy
For sure, and I'm not a doctor, but if he tore something or broke bone, he wouldn't be around the arena. That's all I meant by it, shouldn't be some season ending injury that requires surgey (small victory). |

Good Read - Buff36
Description of some of the 1st round picks:
Savoie 9th OA in 2022:
' He’s not afraid to go into the corner and battle for pucks. He’s not the biggest guy on the ice (listed at 5 foot 10 and 170 pounds) and needs to keep getting stronger, but he has the competitive drive general manager Kevyn Adams is always looking for in draft picks. That can lead to injuries at times. He played through a shoulder injury in his draft year.'
Rosen 14th OA in 2021:
"His biggest issue is strength, and the only way he’s going to answer that concern is against bigger and stronger competition. It was still encouraging to see him stand out the way he did in this tournament. Rosen said he felt much more confident heading into this rookie tournament than he did last season. He’s gained 10 pounds (listed at 173), and Appert loved the effort he gave away from the puck, particularly as a backchecker. Rosen could play his way into a few NHL games this year if he keeps progressing at this rate."
Kulich 28th OA in 2022:
"Kulich says he added 16 pounds this offseason, which is impressive because the 19-year-old has looked like one of the strongest players in his age group for a while. It’s clear he’s motivated to make the jump to the NHL this season, but he’s going to need to prove himself at veteran camp for that to happen. He scored two goals in the first two games of the tournament and then didn’t play in the third. His shot is already NHL caliber, and he’s probably strong enough to play in the NHL, too. He said he spent the summer working on getting faster and more physical. It will be interesting to see if that translates to NHL training camp because the only thing separating him from the top level right now is his play away from the puck. He looks like he could step into the league and play on Buffalo’s second power play right now if asked."
Benson 13th OA 2023:
"Benson didn’t take over this tournament the way Connor Bedard took over the rookie tournament for the Chicago Blackhawks, but he showed why the Sabres were so excited to get him at No. 13. He plays a fast game without being the fastest skater on the ice because he thinks the game so well. He always seems to be one step ahead of the opposition, and that’s notable as an 18-year-old in a tournament like this one."
The writing on Kulich screams Olo-lite, why?
Rosen still a ? - if he ever makes the Sabres full time it will be a bottom 6 role as a tiny guy.
Savoie and Benson need to bulk up before they even have a chance. Why are they comparing Benson to Bedard lol?
The rest:
Viktor Neuchev: might play a big role in Rochachachacha
Nikita Novikov: "He could rise through Buffalo’s system in the next few years."
Tyson Kozak: a lock to play in Buffalos bottom 6 soon
Ryan Johnson: "Johnson is going to get to the NHL by being an effective player at five-on-five and improving in his own end. Those will be the areas of focus for Johnson in Rochester this season."
Scott Ratzlaff: has potential
Zach Metsa: "He’s only on an AHL contract right now, but the way he’s played, he may get more than that before too long."

If there was a dislocation or fracture, they'd know pretty quickly and he'd be on his way to seek medical attention, not watching the game. No? |

Guys gone from 172ish to around 188.

Rosen is turning himself into a Complete Hockey player. Forget old school Hockey with the Sabres. There's potential there to roll 4 lines of very good Players with varying skill sets. If the Development path continues the way it has for quite a few of these Prospects in a couple years Buffalo will be able to dictate pace, let other teams worry about match ups. |

I see he was listed at 172 last year, was he bigger than that?
172 + 16 is 188. Just where Im getting my #'s from
Elite Prospects has him at 179lbs and theyre usually pretty up to date. So considering he hasnt weighed in for this year he probably is up near 200lbs.
Which is incredible. Gaining 25+ pounds in a year is not usually normal. Guy had to stick to a strict routine the whole summer to be doing that. I like the work ethic this kid has. |

Yeah, not saying you are wrong from what they have posted from last year, but he was at 182 when the season started last year. |

Yep, and if he plays well through TC and preseason and Earns it I hope he is given it. If he's better than Olofsson and doesn't get playing time over him than all Adams talk was lip service. |

He was in a walking boot and on a cart within 10 mins...so how so? Not trying to be snarky, but seems rather doom and gloom to think Savoie is going to miss significant time. |

Because you're associating a good shooter with Olofsson because they're both good shooters, even though Kulich's game projects to be all around significantly more well rounded than Olofsson's.

Yes. I honestly would be surprised to hear he goes for an MRI. Appert seemed to suggest he would get reevaluated today, usually they would say if that was an MRI rather than an eval. |
