Brought on by a conversation with a buddy the other day. Say the overall purpose of being a sports fan is for your team to win a championship. Given the braggadocious, self-fluffing demeanor that most NY sports fans portray, as a local Nee Yorker, why would you not choose to be a Yankees fan? Purely based off history and the probability to win a championship, it’s the one team New Yorkers can brag about.
This led to discussing the Giants and their success relative to the rest of the NFL, and eventually going through the Rangers history.

Sad part is from 1942 to 1967 there were only 6 teams and they couldnt win.
