Got home from golf lesson - to carry on from the last discussion.

Preface: I know it’s counted by the league and stats and al that. I also know I’m probably in the minority, but unless it’s a beauty chip in the neutral to spring a rush (sometimes it is not most times) or a great pass from dman to forward to start rush - I just don’t value the secondary assist. I’m also old school in that way as well. Too many time it’s just a guy got his stick on it or shovelled it forward etc. it’s also sometimes (though there is a guideline) an opinion of sorts. For instance I think Marner deserved the 100th point in that play last season. But league and officials felt otherwise.

When it comes to PRIMARY points (Goals and Apples) - not including secondary (did the puck touch his stick/skate in the d zone at some point? Did he just push up a puck to his teammate who made the DIRECT pass that ended in a goal - Willy is 3pts off Marner. Almost equal impact.

True story, a guy at work dropped a brand new iPhone into a tanker with jet fuel lol. It was in there for over an hour. When they got it out it still worked perfect.
