I like Tavares. I like his game. Glad he’s a Leaf. Bet the franker busted his ass even harder than normal this off season.

35G 49A +11 this year.

You and I are both 77’ babies then… I hit 46 Aug 30th so I know how you’re feeling there.

I agree tho, JT is a touch overpaid but like I said, I can see his next contract being roughly half of what he’s currently getting and if he’s still the same bloody player or close to it I’m fine with that.

Jt is great.
I dont give a (frank) about this "boring" bs. The consistency is what matters to me. We all knew the final two years of his deal would hurt, we just thought wed have a cup by now and /or the cap would be much higher that it wouldn't matter.
Still have two more years for both to happen.

- Fakepartofme

I hope they don’t hurt too much, he was actually above his average last year as well so that’s actually got me thinking he’s going to be the exact same player the next two years. Then he’ll take $5-6 mill for 1-3 years (ages 35-36-37), and then maybe even a league minimum deal for a couple after that. Suppose it will depend on the leafs winning the cup or not, if he’s already off this contract and in his mid to late 30s and the leafs win one I could see him retiring afterwards.

Talked to my neurologist and found out they’re likely going to upgrade my nervous system with stainless steel cabling (only been around since 2017 and apparently is working extremely well, called a Vagus) and my gf took me out on the 28th, had my most recent seizure on the 29th, and did my actual b day at mom’s and she made us steak and seafood Alfredo pasta. Was supposed to start a new med on my b day as well but my neurologist forgot to submit some form needed for it to be free and the pharmacist told me she was already reaching out and expects to have it sorted in a week unless I want to pay hundreds for the new med. I was happy to hold off changing for roughly a week since I still have a month worth of my current meds I’ve been on since 2020. That and she said she’ll happily give me more of those for free if it takes longer than that but she doesn’t think it will.

So it was an interesting week but I’ve enjoyed some beers, bbq’d some steak, and a puff or two so I’m happy with it.

Yup, slowly getting better but they’re paying boatloads of attention to me (I’ve also allowed them to use my file for research done routinely at UWO). Went from 2-3 a week to 1-3 a month. It’s a slow win but it’s still a win in my mind so thank you.

No, initially they removed my left temporal lobe back in 2021, they’re still not happy with how often I seize (even though it seems way better to me lol) hence this vagus nerve stimulator, here’s something written about it earlier this year:

Lol me? I’m human, been an ass at times but I’ve said (frank) it and backed off with the whole mod business as of late, I’ll delete posts but I’ve backed off banning for months now. And by posts I mean the non-hockey ones that get folks riled up, political, etc.

You? Lol

Geeze, does that have other effects like dropping your heart rate and/or blood pressure?

Lol well it’s not a potential short list but if it’s too bad they can always shut it down and remove it, here’s what the link says anyways:

Surgery risks

Surgical difficulties with planted vagus nerve stimulation are infrequent and are equal to the hazards of having further kinds of surgery. They contain:

Pain where the cut (incision) is created to implant the machine
Infection
Problem in swallowing
Vocal cord paralysis, which is generally temporary, but can be permanent
Side effects after surgery

Some of the side outcomes and health issues associated with implanted vagus nerve stimulation can contain:

Voice changes
Hoarseness
Throat pain
Cough
Headaches
Shortness of breath
Problem in swallowing
Tingling or wienerling of the skin
Insomnia
Worsening of sleep apnea

No, got confirmation Monday by my neurologist who said he’d need a couple weeks to speak with the neurosurgeons. He’s going to change up my meds (waiting for him to give shoppers what they need to make it free instead of hundreds) while I wait what he said would likely be 3-4 months before the surgery.

So it’s going to get put into me, just waiting to find out when. To be fair I was in the hospital for 19 days earlier this year while they studied me again and they’re just getting to the point of being sure of the direction they want to take, the studying isn’t quick, for instance my lobectomy occurred 13 months after my first epilepsy ward stay.

Caught a big old Carp out on Wellers Bay this weekend - my god they are ugly fish but it put up a good fight.

Compared to the bass and perch I caught over the weekend the Carp is for sure the terrible looking, garbage fish of the crew.

Not surprising if you move the letters around in CARP you can come up with the word CRAP.

lol

Not being the most injured team for the 3rd year in a row would help.
