Not being the most injured team for the 3rd year in a row would help.
- Scabeh

You call it injuries.

We call it creative salary cap management.

Yup, slowly getting better but they’re paying boatloads of attention to me (I’ve also allowed them to use my file for research done routinely at UWO). Went from 2-3 a week to 1-3 a month. It’s a slow win but it’s still a win in my mind so thank you.
- Dozzer

A win is definitely a win.
Glad to hear things are going in a positive direction

Shame he can't skate.
- BINGO!

Hes 15pts away from a 1000 career points
He skates just fine.

Pretty embarrassing that a guy who can't skate outscored the entire Carolina Hurricanes team last year by 10 points

Maybe 4.5M Bunting will help.

A PPG 2nd liner maintaining the exact same stats he was producing when he signed and people still try and trash him lol

Not to mention he’s on one of the fastest teams in the league and people don’t mention that, they say he’s slow. Nope, he’s average and only looks like he’s slow due to who his teammates are.

And thanks for the previous post 👍

I think you meant to reply to the comment in the other thread but yes I agree.

Congratulations on winning a playoff round for the first time since Reagan died.

If you're not raising the Stanley Cup over your head at the end of the season you're one of 31 losers. 🤷

That's loser talk used to try and make the losses feel easier like everyone's in the same boat.

I should know. I do it every year.

Any opportunity to bring up the fact that Reagan is dead is a joyous occasion.

To be honest, I was much happier when Reagan died than when the Leafs won against a first round opponent.

I bet Reagan wouldn't be able to skate either, and still would outscore everyone on the Hurricanes.

How embarrassing

Winning a round means jack poop unless you win the cup, so it’s cute you think 18 years is close enough when Ladd was the youngest player.

Unless you have players who won the cup still on the roster your team hasn’t done anything in the post season worth mentioning and leaf fans understand this better than anyone.

Which is why you have to take the little victories like not signing Bunting 4.5m for 3 years

Hope they have some good enough players to help that little diving wiener produce because he wasn’t doing it on his own

Dozz, buddy, I know. My initial point was going to be that Tavares has been a tremendous player despite his skating being average at best for the majority of his career.

But people took it as a pooppost so I just leaned into it.

His diving will probably work in Carolina so thats a plus for them...but considering he couldn't produce any offence unless he was water skiing behind Matthews and Marner should be concerning for any Cane fan.

The Hurricanes dipped their toes in the Oilers former leaf charity fund.

Last season at even strength:

Bunting without Marner or Matthews: 57.35 CF/60
Matthews without Marner or Bunting: 55.09 CF/60
Marner without Matthews or Bunting: 52.98 CF/60

Now, couldn't score worth a poop, but the Leafs as a whole played 24 minutes per night when none of those three were on the ice and they created less offense during those minutes than they did when any one of those three were on.
