For sure - for a team up against the cap (as contenders typically are I would imagine) they need that flexible contract/player.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but to me I would look to bolster net at this point. Im not a huge fan of Sammy. Played well last year but I just think he didn’t make those cliche timely saves at the right time round 2 then was hurt. He has the potential to be an nhl legit starter but to me hasn’t shown it fully.

Honestly I think he was playing hurt by round two and maybe a bit too far.

It’s when the opposition gets more physical that it gets a touch more dangerous for him, the regular season shouldn’t be as bad in that regard tho. We’ll see.

I compared McDavid to Lemieux in a broad general sense of dominance in relation to his peers at the time. Pile up ridiculous point totals, make all-stars out of his wingmen, and generally being the best player on the ice in almost any game for any shift. Great One had a stronger supporting cast during that dynasty, compared to what McDavid has to work with now. Lemieux had a strong supporting cast also. Don't know where I am going with this now. LOL.

Le Magnifique with a career same health as The Great One - it’s a close point total in the end in my opinion. He was unreal.

Gretz tied Marcel Dionne for most points (137) in his first season playing with a couple of nobodies and he just kept going from there.

McJesus is the most impactful, fastest, and offensively dominant player in the NHL - so best player.

Matthews is 100% the best 2way player in the world and I think that’s what Knies meant there. He plays both sides of the puck unreal great. I agree with his comments all day.

- Big23Questions

That's what I thought, too.

He was hurt a week or two before the season ended and played through it.

In hindsight, they shoulda sat him earlier, since Woll came in playing lights out. But makes sense they didn't just do it, since he's a rookie.

Oh I get the logic behind the decision, just looking back at it changes the best choice is all, the look beforehand was what they did.

Oh ya I mean it doesn’t a genius to realize that McJesus is the best player in the world and frankly if he gets a full healthy go - who know where he will end up in the all time list you know

PWHL - sounds like Sarah Nurse, Renata Fast and Blayre Turnbull will be the first three signings for Toronto.
