How? Do explain. Somehow me enjoying the 90’s as a kid because of the star power and feeling like each team had at least two is somehow stupid? - SuperSchennBros
Because there are stars, two or more, on most teams today.

I was thinking that same thing when typing my previous post. Players hung on him so much he could have been considered a 250 HP Evinrude pulling the whole water skiing pyramid behind him. - MBFlyerfan
The whole league would just play him like the Wings did in '97.

Just to add to the list. Toews/Kane, Kopitar/Doughty, Ovechkin/Backstrom, Giroux/Voracek, Weber/Suter, the Sedins, Chara/Bergeron, the 2010s certainly have had some great duos, and that’s not even mentioning additional players on these teams - ClaudeFather
None of this is right now…or at the same time…nor did I say Duos were extinct…I bring up the 90’s and how I felt about it. You reach 13 years, which is more than a decade if we’re choosing to be picky. Oh and Suter left Nashville in 2012, so I guess you found the cut off.

Watching the world wake up from history
Watching the Youtube highlights of that TBL series in 1996 it is a wonder Lindros didn't have more concussions. Literal flying elbows. Lindros was not a saint in that series but TBL was out to hurt him. - mickel25
You mean all 6 of duos you mentioned? Or was it 7? I’m not the one who put his balls on the table here. - SuperSchennBros
his first response, all the duos played against each other. his second response all the duos played against each other. add both together most played against each other. let it go

Do you even know what you’re talking about? He’s making it out as if I’m saying there aren’t any great duos today, which wasn’t even remotely what I said.
All I was saying is, when I was growing up it seemed like each team in the league had at least 2 studs on their team. Claudefather jumped down my throat and blatantly called me stupid as if I’m saying there aren’t any duos in todays game and flipped his argument to the past 13 years.
A lot of these guys felt like they played together forever and if one stud wanted to jump ship, in the 90’s it felt like a team could just go out and buy another star. This isn’t me saying there aren’t any duos out there today. It just doesn’t feel like as many. I was just expressing my memories as a kid.
