I just like Idris, I think he is a good actor. He can play the tough guy and can be a charmer. He would be perfect.

I know there are other black actors in the UK and Ireland and would be perfectly happy with them.

Idris played Luther which sold me on him playing Bond.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher was a joke. Alan Ritchson is a much better, much more accurate, portrayal IMO.

James bond in the books he is a white scot who is a dark brooding man who drinks a lot and sleeps around. Bet they let a Irishman, British guy and a Australian play him. He was never black because closed minded people wouldn't except it. The same people who probably couldn't stand a black woman playing 007.

I don’t think it really matters what color Jack Reacher is. To me he could totally be played by a black guy. He just needs to be a huge intimidating looking America guy. He was a blond white guy in the books, but doesn’t really seem critical to the character. Cruise is like 5’6” and too old.

If they had a black actor take over as jack reacher in the next movie it wont work imo. Just like if they had a white guy play robert mccall it wont work.
