Amen! Busy week and hopped on to catch up...never a good sign when there's 8 pages in the off season. I figured it was mostly non-Flyers related, and after a quick glance, looks like so. I have no problem when we bust chops regarding our views on the Flyers, but talk about politics, race, etc doesn't belong here. I don't mind references to tv, music, etc occasionally as long as it's not controversial, but sure wish the political and racial stuff was left out. Thanks!

Right. Just like risto was supposed to get a raise. Or Thompson is better than brassard. Lmao. Sure thing man. The comment was offense makes more. But you stick with that. Keep spinning
- Peter Richards

I told him from the beginning that Risto would not be getting a raise

Thank you for making my point. I'm clearly on record saying I thought he would've gotten 500-700 K more. You are completely unreliable and uninformed. That's twice just tonight. Including when you got involved with SSB having no clue what was being said. You're nothing but a proven troll.

Back to Frosty, I like the extension and hope it works out for both parties. I admit, I've had my doubts, but I hope he continues where he left off and is a part of the Flyers future.

It doesn’t matter if you love Morgan Frost or hate Morgan Frost, we need him to good right now. We need him to be Peter Forsberg, Danny Briere or Claude Giroux as soon as humanly possible. If he can be the player he was in the second half of the season at this price for two years, that’s a huge win. 46 points in 81 games needs to be closer to the 60-70 mark this coming season and I think that’s being more than fair.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I saw all the comments and thought it was folks debating about the Frost signing. Nah, just mostly hogwash. Oh well, at least there will be hockey to talk about soon and hopefully this friggin heat goes away soon too! Got stopped by the authorities looking for the escaped convict again today and I wished the cop good luck in finding this clown! The cop said I hope so too cause it's hot as hell out here. Eh what?

I doubt anyone really hates Frost on here and only MJL loves him. It's just some of us aren't all that impressed with his play with the exception of the second half of last season. I like the signing cause it's basically a prove it deal. If he blows chunks the next couple of years he's gone. If he excels then they got a good player for cheap for the next couple of seasons and by the time they would have to reup him the salary cap will be much higher most likely. Although I highly doubt that he will be the next Forsberg (no way in hell), Giroux (very unlikely) or Briere.

Please provide documentation that first of all, I "love" Frost and secondly, that I'm the only one that does so.

I hear you. If he gets the minutes (with decent linemates) he was getting in the second half, he should get 60+. I'd love to see 25/40 or something close to it.

I have no documentation about you loving him. I just felt like saying that cause the other guy said people love Frost. You trumpet about him more than anyone else on here to the point that I think you over value his game (especially when it comes to winning puck battles).

On this team, with this roster, any forward who scores 50 points has had a pretty good season. This team is going to struggle to score goals. Any talk of Frost getting 60-70 points, isn't reasonable in my opinion. I'd love to see it but I don't think that is realistic.

Yes, can't wait to have hockey back! I know expectations are low for the Flyers, but I still look forward to seeing them play.
That sucks about the convict. I have a friend in that area and I'm not that far from there. Be safe and hopefully they catch him pronto!

Please document that I "trumpet" about him more than anyone else on here. Please detail how I overvalue his game. Frost is competitive in puck battles. That is well documented.

I really don't have to document it. It's pretty much a well known fact that you like Frost more than most folks on here. That he is competitive in puck battles is well documented? By who? I really wish there was a stat for that. I'd love to see what Frost's actual numbers are. In fact, I'm writing the league and telling them that they need to make that a stat. Thanks!

If that's a well known fact then it shouldn't be difficult for you to document it. I think you're proving what is actually a well known fact. That you consistently talk out your ass.

Yes, it's a great deal for 2 years and hopefully he will make it worthwhile to reup. I see him as a Murray Craven type player but of course would love it if he gets close to Giroux/Briere level.

I’m not gonna play the “coaches fault” game. Torts does things I like and he does things I hate. In my opinion Frost should have been making noise for the Flyers before Torts was ever hired. Giroux for me is an example of a player who could play with Aaron Asham and still manage to be a difference maker. This is what Frost needs to do. Hayes is gone. I don’t expect the coaching staff to lean too hard too soon on Couturier right now. It’s up to Frost now.

That's all I got! Are you sure you and SSB aren't the same guy. I glean more from simply watching a hockey game than you will ever be able to. You're just a stats geek. Hell, you probably don't even watch the games. You just run to the stats sheet after a game and see what the Corsi numbers say. Eh what?

I understand your point, but I'm trying to be optimistic. I figure if he could get close to 50 last season after having early season limited minutes with lesser linemates (sorry I refuse to use slugs/neanderthals), then he could get 60 or so this season. That is if he is getting 1st/2nd line minutes from the start and we are relatively healthy. I do agree that we will struggle to score goals, but if somehow Coots and Cam are back and have decent seasons, we might surpass expectations.

Again, are you sure you aren't actually SSB? If you think I'm proving you correct you simply have serious issues with comprehension skills. Most of what you say on here are fallacies, so yes, I guess I know what a fallacy is. Derp!

Dude, you’re incapable of an original thought. You proudly call me goofball as if It's this creative name. It’s barely an insult. Every time we argue and you get stumped , you always do the " what are you talking about" routine. It's like clockwork. You come on here, talk yourself into a corner. Confuse yourself but pretend you're not confused and the best you can always do is say "what are you talking about" to make it seem I'm not making sense but in reality you're just confused again.

Puck movement and transition play is the key to offense. Defenseman are the key to those factors. The Flyers defense is not going to be good. Combined with a poor PP and the coaches passive and obsolete system. Will not be conducive to offensive production. Along with return of Couturier, hopefully and the coaches affection for Cates, not undeserved. All will make it difficult for Frost to score in the 60+ point range.
