My opinion at the time of Babs asking players to list from top to bottom who they feel world the hardest and who’s the laziest is a non issue to me. It’s been done all the time. Hell it’s been done on the ice at practices. But now with this crazy crap about looking through phones and invading privacy (the pattern of just being an ass) - the tuxedo seems a bit f’ed up now eh

When you sign a pro contract you are a pro. You can be a rookie for sore and some players need different care but ultimately asking for a list isn’t that big an offence.
With the personality type of Marner (again who knows) maybe not the right approach and broke trust.

Well I mean we kinda do have an idea. Because the veterans were pissed at Babcock. Which goes to show that guys who've been in the league for a while thought it was an issue. And it also Brought Marner to tears so we knew how he felt about it. Ultimately he lost control of the room and it blew up in his face so it all worked out

All I remember from when Babcock was the Leafs coach is they did a stretch pass all the time and he never played Matthews and Marner together. Also he scratched Spezza for no good reason and Spezza turned out to be awesome.

Marners TikTok going offline could move him to tears who knows right? I also never saw him cry to be honest. Not sure it’s cry worthy (if it happened) but everyone’s different.

That’s kinda what I was also trying to say - the ‘vets’ who were mad, which vets stated their displeasure? The vets (kids) are different these days the times are different and it was Babs job to adjust that for sure. But in the hockey world a coach asking for a written list or getting pissed off with the lack of leadership and effort and doing it in front of everyone in the room or at practice is not a deal to me.

Also I bought those stupid socks and ended up disillusioned and I harbour a deep, bitter resentment to this day.

I agree here - 34 scored with Hyman Kapenen Brown Johnsson whoever man he’s a sniper. 34 can move as well and plays bit sides puck very well.

JT I feel needs some beauty set ups more and Marner isn’t necessarily fast but quick indeed. Makes the Leafs a better spread in Top 6 offence that way.
