That (frank)ing fan that keeps yelling reminds me of idiot parents in the stands that whine at the ref after every penalty. |

I don't know if it's my sound setup but I haven't noticed this particular fan you're talking about

Game over ... better team won, we were totally disorganized.
No one in our team stood out for me.
No big deal, it's the first game.

Mesar was a bad pick, I know it's early but I don't see anything from that guy. He's small, not feisty in the least, takes bad decisions with the puck and I fail to see that offensive upside.
The guy doesn't want to go back to junior...well, might be time to wake up pal, because right now you're not AHL caliber. |

but didn't he show basically the opposite of this during international tournaments?
to be honest I haven't followed him closely so I have zero expectations from him, his name being the only reason for now that I'd really want him to make the team.

aren't pre-season games more important though? not saying it's cool if they aren't any better for the next 2 games but there will be more opportunities to evaluate them after this.

I don't know if it's the bigger ice surface in Europe that made him look better, but he had a very average season in the OHL last year. |

maybe he's like Armia, if they can make him believe he's representing his country ever game he might turn out to be good.

Looking at the scoreboard is pretty useless in these tournaments. I look at individual play. Or at guys like Farrell, Heineman, Kidney and Roy, to see if there's chemistry that can be built for the AHL
I hope they focus on acquiring offensive forwards with their early picks at next draft because that's clearly what's lacking in their pipeline right now |

We looked totally unprepared and lost out there ... we gave up a ton of odd man rushes to the Sabres.
Luckily Dobes saved our butt a few times because it could have been worse. |
