Tochett said after the game last night "It was a learning experience".
We can file that one away in the moral victory column I guess.
I won't say much about it, but I sure hope it was an eye opener for the team. I remember at the Young Stars when Flames were being embarrassed they stopped playing hockey and did some ass kicking instead. I thought after six to zero Canucks should send a message but then remembered it's the Canucks. They don't send messages, they just give intense stares. |

Too bad Huggy wasn't there to bust some skulls.
I saw the "learning experience" quote. It did start with, "I know you don't want to hear this...".
Probably not the tone they wanted to set in the 1st pre-season game but I'll avoid being on the other end of the emotional spectrum from K-Man. |

I think what he probably meant to say it was a learning experience for himself to never set a roster like that again.
Yeah preseason.
Raty has been getting better game to game and is now noticeable. Hoglander and Hirose look close to NHL level and there was not much else to take away from that game.

Sure there was.
Klimovich plays like the invisible man.
Woo and Julsen proved that Myers shouldn’t be traded til they find a better replacement.
Pods will play in the AHL this year.
Dakota Joshua is not a tough guy like some think.
Matt Irwin is washed up.
Jack Rathbone will never be more than a 6-7 D man.
The entire team owes Silvos an apology.
Studnicka, McWard, Ratface, and the Hog played a good game.

You guys bring the best out of me. Just salting the pork before the bbq. I know it would be the other way if the Canucks had managed to beat the Flames.
My White Widow is budding like crazy, getting thick and sticky. |

My best take away is how hooped the Flames will be when they start playing NHL rosters.

Good grief. Hope they were left over seeds from the 90's and you didn't buy them.
About to harvest some OG#18, King Pin and Kosher Kush myself. |

Haha wow man, maybe not the best time to talk smack about another team after that embarrassment last night. Exactly how was that a takeaway anyway |

It was just a really stupid and surprising move by Tocchet. I didn't peg him to allow the potential for something like that to happen. I hope huggy steps in and says no more lineups like that, we need some pride in the crest.
None of the guys on that roster would be playing with each other in the nhl, so what exactly are they learning anyway ... how to take a beatdown? Why not try a Mcdonough with Miller and Garland or something. At least learn who might work playing with nhl calibre players, and who might work with who in case of a call-up. |

Icing a team like they did on Sunday isn't the end of the world. They kept the rest of the team in Victoria. My guess is they were practicing more systems with the regulars like they were Saturday.
I really don't mind the decision by Tocchet. They've got to blast out of the starting gate. Systems and team structure are going to be a huge part of it. Having the regulars fly to Calgary and back for a meaningless game takes 2 days of important practice away from them. |

Just try not to enjoy it as much as this pre-season, epic victory. |

So he started from seed and doesn't know how to sex them(or someone did that to him and he didn't realize). Clones them and gives them to someone to (frank) up their garden as well.
