PDG in top six is not a good look.

That was a pitiful roster to ice.
There has to be a reason for it.
As mentioned earlier vets to practice longer together &/or just a 1 game off to give prospects an eye opener &/or it’s against the Flames & not wanting to show their hand. Idk

Tocchet has talked about creating "pairs" for lines... so think Miller and Boes are the pair plus whoever clicks well on their line. Wait and see how Di Giuseppe plays, maybe he'll be a Burrows in the making

We did see him play top six last year and not once was I reminded of Burrows

Yeah pretty short sighted still in my opinion. I know I'm earmarked as a negative person on here as I don't have very high hopes this year will be much different from the last two, but there are other reasons I found it disappointing.

It's well known the canucks have a decent fan base in Alberta. Kind of an eff you brand wise to send such a scrub roster every time. Some families can only afford pre-season tix. Last year I saw a great number of kids in little canuck jerseys for this same pre-season game at the saddledome. Results on the scoreboard weren't as bad last year, but the play was completely dominated.

Nah I just mean a "top 6 player" that isn't a "top 6 player"... maybe he's good at getting pucks out and covering defensively for those two to make the line work. We'll see shortly how it shakes out

Interesting to me that Hogs is getting another look here, as none of the other bubble players that 'played' in Calgary appear here.
Seems like they're giving him a good look this year.
Feels like Pods is Abby bound, along with Ratu and all the rest.

My guess for opening night:

I swear that move set the organization back at least a decade.

I was a Habs fan until expansion then I liked the Flyers from 1967 (12 years old). Then in the 80s an Oiler fan. I have seen a lot of cups except with these bunch of cup cakes.
