I love how Miller can just say he always has bad first pre-season games ... and that's it. Like if I said I always suck at work on Fridays, there would need to be something after to address that ... like I will come into the office every 2nd Friday, or schedule more working meetings on that day.
30 year old dude just says he's bad in pre-season 10 years down the road in his career ... and that's acceptable. - Sayros
Not hard to see why Mr Excuse was passed up for the C. Not the lame first game but the response to it.
Nah, they'll make Luongo the coach after they put him on the Ring of Honor. - DariusKnight
Don't kid yourself we all know it is going to be the Sedins. Canucks will be the first NHL team with two head coaches followed right after by Drance as the HC and Halford and Sekeres as assistant coaches. Bikini Rachel as the GM.

John Ludvig LHD FLA
Tobias Bjornfot LHD LA
Jakub Lauko RW BOS

If any of these players hit the waiver wire, might be worthy of a look.
So, you may be of the opinion that all new accounts are Alternate ones? From reading past threads it's clear many in here have alternate accounts but that's a fairly large assumption.

You mistake me for Marwood. I was just making a joke. Lighten up newbie.
From Drance about roster projection, a couple guys on the bubble:
Trending the right way
Jack Studnicka
Studnicka has just been awesome throughout training camp and the preseason. As a result, he seems to have the inside track on a possible fourth-line wing spot alongside Blueger and Åman going into the final week of the season.
Even if Joshua or Podkolzin are able to make a late charge and edge Studnicka out of a spot in the opening night lineup, Studnicka’s versatility — he can play wing or centre, and unlike Vancouver’s other centres and other 13th forward options, is a right-handed shooter — should give him the leg up on making the club’s opening day 23-man roster.
Cole McWard
What was supposed to be a fierce competition for the club’s sixth, seventh and (perhaps) eighth blue-line spot has instead turned into a coronation for Cole McWard, a 21-year-old first-year professional defender.
McWard looked the part of an NHL player on Wednesday alongside Hughes, although the club did parcel out one of that pairs two defensive zone starts to Myers. Even if McWard opens the season as Hughes’ go-to caddy, he’s likely to play third-pair minutes, with the club mixing and matching defense partners with Hughes situationally.
Remember this time last year when management was throwing the coach under the bus after going 0-3 in the pre-season. - Marwood
Drance is doing the whining for them. 4th liners aren't playing like top 6. Every defensemen isn't playing as a top pair defender. The Canucks didn't have a 4oa pick 2 years ago. They haven't had a 2nd rounder from years ago play well in the pre season.

This team has warts and it’s supposed to be news? Lol I get you and this is how things just go.
Anyway, looking forward to others whining when the full team stumbles.

I'm waiting for the last 3 games when RT still hasn't put out the full opening day roster and is still trying out scrubs instead of working on line chemistry and defence pair combos and PP/PK rotations.

That’s not what he said was the plan for games 4-6.
Though I am sure no matter whatever may happen there will be room to complain. Those that don’t like the direction of the team will always find something to throw at it.

Not a whole lot of room for optimism right now, you'd think they'd be really good the start of the pre-season with long shots looking to make their mark and case and bubble players and rookies trying to show they deserve to beat out veterans and those veterans with vulnerable spots trying harder to show that no one can take their spot.
