Making the playoffs is exciting. One & done isn’t the end of the world. Saw 3 cup runs in my lifetime that came up short was exciting drama. No clue how any team can fluke a cup since the original 6 days.
How about just enjoy & accept only 1 in 32 win & think on the odds any team has of winning.

Not if you don't like the direction chosen. - Reubenkincade
So you don't like the approach management is taking and therefore won't cheer for the team and hope they succeed?
Wild take.

And it definitely will with the next iteration of the team. But if not, for sure the next next iteration. And even if it doesn't for some reason with that iteration, the next next next iteration is fated to it. - NewYorkNuck

I read somewhere the flu bug was going around. Can't remember where. Maybe it has to do with that?
Not sure I'd call 6 players being recalled gutted but continue the preseason rage |

Canucks are already loaded with quality wingers, can't see why they would want someone they exposed to expansion. - Reubenkincade

Is this because of the flu or because this was a massive success both long term and short term, at previous camps? |

Call ups so I doubt this was the plan. Ask NY4U... he has all the answers. |

Agree making playoffs is exciting. I wish I had more hope that it will happen with this group, but I don't. I understand the stanley cup is unrealistic and made peace I likely won't see it in my lifetime. I'm not that old either, it's just the odds in a 32 team league. There also seems to be a choke factor when a Canadian team makes it far what with the hope of a whole country riding on them (see Toronto Blue Jays).
My beef is they've already set themselves up (and management disclaimed) that a couple injuries and they'll be in trouble. A few injuries will happen, they always do and we've seen this similar lineup play out the last several years. Adding a couple depth d-men and just sheer hope there's some bounceback or progression from guys not trending in right direction (Boeser, Myers, Podkolzin, Hoglander, etc) isn't good business to me. Understanding they were handicaped by the cap and past mistakes, I wish someone could get it through Aquilini's head (it's obviously not this management group) that this same approach won't work. The apathy is growing which will eventually impact your business. He seems to at least give the impression that he cares about this business $ wise, but maybe not. |

Pretty much my thoughts other than the core is fairly solid & D more improved & goalie depth looking good for years.
Pivotal year for many wingers. Drafting & signing young D looks good. Leki is starting to shine needs to keep it up. After that not much F depth. Plenty more work to do & hopefully assets improve their value for shuffling up the F’s. |

A healthy Boeser & 30+ goals.
Finds a lil jump in his skating.
Beauvillier a fresh full start comes out fast & tenacious as a 3rd wheel.
Miky back & healthy will be a solid add bringing elite speed & more.
Garland be the RT Yotes Garland.
Better overall system play & consistency from the D. Less chasing the game & better PK.
In goal back to normal.
My wish list that hinges mostly on the wingers bringing it. The rest shouldn’t be much to ask for. |

Wow, had to remind myself how pathetic the 650 crew is. 3 min of canucks talk then 10 min and running of "favorite Halloween candy" and I'm out. |
