Studnicka was having a strong camp, waived. Garland was having a strong camp and promotion to 1st line in pre season, talks of trying to trade him.

It would be nice if the Canucks could do the trading for a pick once in a while but organization depth is still lacking. Maybe in a couple more years. They should have 10 legit prospects playing in Abbotsford this year among forwards.

Biggest FA pickups the last 2 years running hurt (Mikey, Sauce) is par for the course for canucks. This is why I always say you gotta judge the nucks roster +2 or 3 deep at both forward and defense. Other teams have injuries too, but with this team it's like automatic to not even start the season healthy.

Yeah, Conor Garland would be a great fit for playoff contending teams. Like Buffalo, Detroit, Ottawa, Washington, Pittsburgh, NY Islanders on the East & Jets, Wild, Predators, Blues on the West. You know, we really like Garland's game. We see him as a TOP6 winger still.

I will admit I got tired of hearing him say AHHH so often I turned it off around five minutes in. Jim did sound like a halfwit, but I can see PA getting tiresome also after doing more interviews.

I will say I really enjoyed the style and tightness of the team against Calgary. I hope to see a full season of that type of hockey.

Game one there is always cap juggling by half the league so I don't actually care what is going on but really glad to hear Soucy is day to day.
