Draisaitl and McDavid sure like to cheap shot stick work when they are losing. |

They won’t get called in Edmonton either. I think it will be a close low scoring game this time. Which should play into Canucks favor under RT style. |

Lol yeah structure and discipline for once.
But kidding aside when was the last time Canucks had such a lopsided opening night win against a Cup favorite to boot? |

They were humiliated last night. Should be a good re-match on Saturday. |

Maybe they are not as good as everyone thinks.

Their goaltending is certainly very mediocre. |

Not hockey related but I had heard yesterday that Seinfeld and Larry David were also not happy with how the show ended 25 years ago and are looking at doing a reunion show and redoing how the show ended. - VANTEL
Oh my goodness ... this would be a dream for me. I still watch seinfeld daily ... it is the background to my life. |

I'm happy they held the Oilers to less than 30 shots. The play in their own end was the big change that I noticed. - A_SteamingLombardi
Absolutely ... sometimes all the bounces go your way and not to take anything away, but they did get very favourable bounces. Demko made some key saves early.
The score aside, I haven't seen them jump the puck the way they did in the d-zone in years. Interrupting the cycle by anticipation instead of holding their stick out and just following guys doing loops in the zone. It was ... a huge difference. And then in the neutral zone and offensive zone skating towards guys with a purpose. Letting them know you're there. So different from the turn aways of past few years. Here's hoping they keep it up! |
