maybe not in MTL, who knows lol. he's probably one of the least crucial players to the team right now, I just hope the other guys stay healthy. |

on the babcock thread, I find this is very true
Brian Burke spoke of this, how does a coach motivate a player with a NTC, NMC , getting paid probably triple the rate of the coach. Often times what happens is the coach is the one that won't be there next year, not said player |

what ?
oh, not what i was thinking about, its just a general statement and for any sports : its hard to be a head coach ( or a boss for that matter) nowadays !
Here in MTL people are offering me jobs and i'm not even looking, so what do you think the youngsters are doing if the boss is a tiny bit harsh ? Just jump to another job next week
Its not all bad in a since that the workers were abused for so long, but its changing very fast, very different just to let say compare to 5 years ago |

yeah, but at the same time usually when you're good with people around you and respect them it'll often bring success as well. you don't have to be a douche to be firm and command authority.

true but to me it seems very hard to interest the youngsters in a job nowaday
maybe it will change if we do finally hit that recession they have been predicting wrongly for 6 months+ |

Currently watching the intra-team game ... I'm still wondering what the Pens were thinking when they traded Matheson to us, he's flying out there ... great skater.
Newhook is also impressive in this game (good speed). |

I don't think we'll miss him much ... from the little I've seen of Trudeau so far, he seems to be superior. |

Yeah, I don't see Wideman in the Habs lineup much longer with all the depth we now have on D. Our blue line is going to be excellent in future years.
Personal observations from the last intra-team I've watched:
- Guhle is truly our general on the blue line.
- Matheson is one of our best skaters.
- Trudeau looks good so far, I like his size and mobility.
- Reinbacher doesn't look ready for the big show (not surprising considering his age).
All my opinion obviously. |

I would agree with all of the above.
Matheson could get the most points by a Habs dman since Markov 15 years ago. 64, not impossible imo.

I wouldn't be surprised either ... considering what we gave up in exchange (Petry & Poehling), we totally robbed the Pens of a good D. |
