A few beats have said that DOC and Rakell have shown good chemistry so far. I'm not a fan of taking Rakell out of the top 6, but if he can help DOC take the next step I'd be fine rotating some new guys into the top 6 to see if anyone sticks. At least for the first month or so.

I’m totally good with spending the front half of the season experimenting. If DOC and Rakell can give us a real third line, that is absolutely massive for us.

In theory if DOC is ends up a competent 3C and Nylander can be a scoring bottom six guy and our bottom 6 looks something like

Nylander-DOC-Rakell
XXX-Eller-Acciari

That’s a much better spot for the bottom 6 than I thought we were in. Don’t know who steps into 2RW though.

Wait, should we do a Pens board fantasy hockey? Who all would be interested?

Edit: if Feds wants in we'll call the league One winged Penguin...

Let’s do it. Let’s make a league. Any app pf preference?

Bruh, just think of the ramifications this has on the mail order bride industry.

I mean..Doc-Sid Rakell with Guentz out. Could try it out.

Edit: If that line clicks:
Doc-Sid-Rak
Guentz-Geno-Smith(said he can play either wing)
Carter-Accari-Rust
Nieto-Eller-Nylander?

Another option just thought of:
Guentz-Sid-Rust
Smith-Geno-Nylander
Doc-Accari-Rakell
Nieto-Eller-Carter
Could be options if Doc finds a scoring touch.

That's what I was going to suggest too. I think they have DOC ticketed for the third line with Eller to start, but he's also the guy I'd push up with Jake out. If he plays well with Rackell, just play them together.

That's the big question as they're really scraping for someone to play with Sid or Geno which feels like a waste. Not sure that they still carry a bum, particularly Malkin, at this point in their careers.

Mike Sullivan with a lot of good things to say about Valtteri Puustinen’s game. Improved consistency and defensive play will get him time up here.

BTW, DK has a live feed on their site that is basically Taylor's Twitter feed if your interested. Also this gem of a chirp:

I told Mark Friedman I saw a fan in his jersey.
Chad Ruhwedel chimes in: “Probably his mom.”

I like DOC at center, but I know his faceoffs are a weakness so Sully moved him to wing. I'd rather see Rust drop with Smith and Geno once Jake returns, mostly because just about anyone can ride shotgun with that top line as long as they aren't a half wit. Nylander, Puustinen, Hinastroza are going to get shots. Should start to see some experimenting in the upcoming games.

Sid and Jake will be a combo as long as Jake is a breathing and skating. They are the core 2 on the first line and shouldn't be split. I'd use try that top line with Jake hurt, but not when healthy.

I have my annual $100 buy in 16 team Yahoo Fantasy league again this season.. And I always find that almost too much to stay on top of, let alone adding another league to the mix. However, if it's with you idiots it is very tempting though.. Hmm.. 🤔

Most of my fantasy football leagues are on yahoo so I’d vote that just so I don’t have to juggle apps

Big shout out to Oregon for handling business so far. I’m beyond tired of hearing about Deion.

I’m kind of on the Deion train purely out of respect because I’ve lost money three weeks in a row from betting against him. They were always going to get murdered by Oregon and USC but their programmatic turnaround is legitimate so I have to tip my cap to him. From what I know about Deion, he’s an obnoxious bumhole but he keeps it to the field and is generally a good guy off of it. I can be tired of the manufactured schtick, but no real reason to dislike him.

I’m drunk as poop. What’s your Michigan brain thinking for tonight? Rooting for a meteor or do you have a preference?

Can we do a fantasy league centered around Jeff Carter? Everyone has to have Carter for at least a week and is required to trade him after that week. If you get a trade proposal involving Carter you have to accept. Any takers?

You can join the league and draft Jeff Carter in the first round.

EDIT: read your full comment that’s actually hilarious. I’d be in

I did. If Nylander can show something of a scoring touch early I think he can hang in there for short patches of games. I still think Eller over Acciari for 3rd line center, but there isn't much difference.
