Both the eye test and the analytics back it up.

Elite offensively, struggled very much so defensively.

As you alluded to, he was 18 years old and had one of the toughest workloads in the entire league last year as a d-man.

With that being said, just like the theme with many of our high end forwards, they will have to improve defensively for this team to take the next step

The Penguins will ice a legit NHL lineup against the Sabres.

Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Karlsson, Smith, Rakell.

At the very least, both Benson and Johnson have earned the right to stay till the end and get some games that aren’t just against AHL guys or the big boys that are just going through a Sunday skate out there
