How often does a team carry 3 G into a season?

This isn't about willing. It's about cornering yourself and dealing with it.

Biro, UPL, and Bryson all need to go through waivers. IMO, this is more about managing that than starting with the best possible 13F. Do they care about potentially losing Bryson? No clue. UPL? I bet they do care.

Mittelstadt potentially but I think they love him and he's here long term barring something changing

I was worried this would happen after he got resigned. We were in a tight spot, so I get it, but both he and Hyde have been a little quite outside Hyde's one INT that was thrown right at him.

I think Hyde was down at the same time, so yeah it makes sense. I just wish they would've tried to get a younger replacement for one of the two. Hamlin and Rapp aren't starting caliber players, even as prospects, IMO.

Completely believe the closed door opinion on UPL, but losing him for nothing would be too embarrassing for them to risk.

Hamlin started what 11 games last year for the 4th ranked Defense. And hope Rapp shows, think he was brought here to be a option next year.

this perception that we should blame the gm for not selling upl for a quarter when he was our only goalie, and certain people here said "UPL needs to start without question" around Thanksgiving, instead of a dime today is (frank)ing stupid. It's a junk narrative.

and no, UPL had low prospective value because every scout in the league started to sour on him beyond his WJ win.

A middling player loses a little value after you projected him to have better value and now people are (insert negative adjective) because we didn't get a 4th round pick for UPL immediately at his Thanksgiving high? Or a 2nd round pick when we needed some prospects to actually make the roster for (frank)ing once like Olofsson?

Every single team has guys who just don't pan out. Sometimes you see it early on, sometimes it takes a few seasons.

It's one thing to hold onto someone too long if you're making the postseason.

Getting nothing for Olofsson after playing a ton of minutes and paying him good $ just to see his role slowly erode over time while you DON'T make the playoffs is bad asset managment.

Same with Jokiharju. RD are valuable. Young RD even more so
