The secondary has been solid because the defensive line and linebacker play has been phenomenal. They've benefitted from that tremendously which is how it should be. If that holds throughout the season, there may very well be little drop off from White to the "next man up"™, especially when you consider how up there in age they are. If that holds up for the entire year, his point is valid.

Also, can we finally put to rest the notion that Vic Fangio is some sort of defensive genius? He's a guy who has put in his time, and so has the respect of the media, nothing more. Every offensive coordinator that has a football IQ above 40 has had his way with him for well over a decade.

McDermott is a more "aggressive" defense, at least so far. Frazier was more of the "bend but don't break" style. Normally, teams tend to play that Frazier style against teams like the Dolphins. For some reason, the Bills figured out that the former works against them better.
