Funny once Miami got through there first say 15 scripted plays, the D took over. - Buff36
I honestly was most worried about their speed, more than their actual ability to out-scheme us.
Did we open the book on them? I’m glad the early season game was in Buffalo this year. |

And they don't have to really get rid of any other than Joseph if they wanted. Wonder if they keep the young kid and cut Lawson. He got beat a few times around the corner trying to take the easy route, didn't even try and set the edge. |

“He is a top-five talent in the league. Easy. He’s right there with (Connor) McDavid, (Auston) Matthews, (Nathan) MacKinnon, (Leon) Draisaitl in terms of his talent,” one coach said when looking at his placement in franchise player territory. “He should have won the Conn Smythe. That’s not taking anything away from Marchessault. He controlled the play and Marchessault was opportunistic in a very important role. But for me, Eichel was the straw that stirred the drink.”
Even the coach knew it was Eichels trophy lol, good read. The Sabres have a long way to go to obtain the balance Vegas has.
What the Sabres have been missing for over a decade:
"Outside of the top six, Vegas has built a solid, cost-effective supporting cast. Brett Howden proved to be a smart reclamation project and, along with Nicolas Roy, can be counted on to generate offense off the cycle. Players like Roy and Michael Amadio are reliable forecheckers. William Carrier remains an effective fourth-liner, too. Despite all the subtractions made to balance out Vegas’ cap picture, the fact that the bottom six is so capable is a real feat by management."
Weaknesses:
Goalie, injuries and Eichel not playing to his potential - been down that road before.

I'm guessing there is going to be a ramping up period for Von Miller. I don't expect him to be vintage Von right out of the gate, especially at 33 years old or however old he is.

I would offer Shakir to the bears for Claypool. Could play him in red one packages |

The Bills took a page from what San Francisco and the Chargers did to them last year: jam them up and make Tua hold the ball longer. He doesn't throw a particularly hard ball the way the likes of Mahomes, Burrow or Allen do (not saying he's Chad Pennington either), but if you can get him to hold it longer, the secondary can make plays on it, like the Bills did yesterday. The question will be who has the horses to do it: Buffalo, obviously. I think the Jets do and Dallas definitely does. I'm not sure about the rest of their schedule. It's also equally mind-boggling that the Chargers couldn't do what they did to them last year.

Well they only have so much time once they officially take him of the Pup list. I believe if he's not active by the 9th game he has to go on IR. Unless the rules changed. |

I have no doubt that his snap count will be limited for at least the first few weeks that he comes back.

He hates the bills but loves the idea of the bills.

I think everyone was nervous about them whether they admitted it or not. There was a lot of talk nationally about how revolutionary the Dolphins were and nobody had an answer for what they were doing. I never believed that to be true because all you had to do is look at last December to see that everybody but Buffalo figured out how to stop them. I think the book is that you have to have a more aggressive defense. The "bend but don't break" style will get carved up by all that speed.
That doesn't mean the Dolphins are cooked by any means. They play some bad defenses coming up, and they will get their points. However, it just makes them a good team, not necessarily a great one, especially when you consider that their defense stinks. |

I guess I’m just shell-shocked from Frazier’s defensive scheme. I have been very impressed with McDermott this year. He still psyches himself out once or twice per game but it hasn’t been as bad as previous years. |
