Any news on whether team president Keith Jones will have input on which kids make the team?
With his hockey acumen, and modern approach to the game one would hope they take his thoughts seriously. - FlyerFan3260
I don't think the phrases "Keith Jones" and "modern approach" have ever been used in the same sentence (or paragraph, or chapter..). Or was this statement sarcasm, and it went over my head? |

Let me guess he won't play all preseason while the team will tell us he is on track for opening night? - corduroy
Correct. Open rinse repeat. We have seen this before. Flyers always trying to outsmart their fans |

I’m a little confused by the reaction to last night’s game. We’re repeated to ourselves all summer, this team is bad. This team is gonna to be bad. Than pre season shows up. The results are exactly what we’ve told ourselves, and half the roster has no shot of making the team but most of the reactions sound like we’re surprised. I’m more disappointed by individual play, not the score itself. |

Was nice to see him.
Ironically one of the most irrelevant players when you factor in his age to the realistic timeline to contention.
They’ve screwed him just like Giroux. - FlyerFan3260
He screwed himself. He was going to get that contract from anyone. He should have demanded a trade to a contender when he was making $4+MM |

I have a question for you. Have they been scheduled to play a "worthy" opponent yet. Where do I find the worthy team stats at? You say that every clown knows it but you made the same mistake twice. Was Arizona a worthy opponent for the cowgirls? - MJL
They play every "worthy" team at some point this season. Most of those teams in a six week stretch. The thing with the Eagles is they have dominated offensively the last two games. It's just not pass the ball all over the field dominant. Eagles are a top three team in the NFL. Anybody who argues that is flat out dumb.

Like they just need something to whine about to get through their day. It was the first home preseason game for the Devils, so I'm guessing they had most of their starting roster dressed. Not sure why folks would get all huffy, but what ya gonna do. |

The Eagles have played 3 weak sisters so far and there is no arguing that either. You are right though. They have a gauntlet of a schedule in the middle of their season. As of right now the Eagles are a top 3 team, but it is EARLY and they haven't been tested. That's comin though. Thanks!

They took possession of the ball with 9 and a half minutes left after the Bucs scored and seemingly had a little bit of momentum. The offense preceded to run the ball down the throats of a good Tampa defense and salt away the clock. That’s utter domination and demoralizing to an opponent. I don’t know if there’s another team that can do that. |

Christ it was 4-0 before I remembered they were playing and checked the score on Twitter. I think as the year goes on they will get better. To me success is making sure a bunch of the younger guys get some time on the big club with a few of them flourishing. At least we know why LA wanted to get rid of Petersen. Yikes. |

That last 9:22 was unbelievable. That was beyond impressive. They are a dominant team that is still trying to put it all together. If that comes …look out. |

Not sure why folks are really worried about anything at this point. If they got blown out and embarrassed in the regular season opener than I would see things differently. People put way too much stock in preseason. And yes, the Devils are a much better team than the Flyers anyway. |

That’s a defense that has Vita Vea and is lead by Todd Bowles in a situation where they know you are going to run the ball and they still can’t stop you. To do that against any team is impressive. I really don’t get where you are going with your commentary of the Eagles season so far. |

I agree it is early. Eagles will only get better. "Struggling" and being 3-0 is a good thing. I want them to be at their best in games 18-20.

They’re also playing with two new coordinators and the knowledge that every team is gunning for them. Every season brings new challenges, but so far so good. |

You don't win chips in September? What would 3 losses in the past 3 games do to their chances of winning the division and home field advantage?

No, they mean the Eagles dominated the line of scrimmage and ran the ball down the throats of the 4th ranked run defense in the league to ice the game.

Answer the question. What would 3 losses against the first 3 teams they played mean to their chances of winning the division and home field advantage? |
