I like it. Erase the memory of Dion.

I think I heard Hall and Oates on the goal song when I rewatched it on Twitter.

:-(

I hope they are just saving the new goal song for the regular season.

Right on, I remember him on the team actually, even got to see a 3rd round game in 93’ against the kings since my cousin Rychel played for them at the time. It was tough seeing the leafs when it was the opposition that got me a ticket lol.

His first game since 2022. It’s going to take a bit longer for the dust to come off him.

McCabe looks like the Phaneuf on that pair, him and Klingberg are... Oooof. Not gonna be long term I don't think.

With the abundance of less defensively capable on the blueline, I only see one set up:

Brodie/Klingberg
Rielly/Liljegren
Gio/McCabe/Timmins

I've heard the can't split up Brodie/Rielly angle but Rielly was far far better against lesser competition on the second pair in the playoffs, and splitting them up grants a poop at 3 stable pairs over one... Maybe 2. Klingberg needs the Brodie defensive stabilizing effect more than Rielly.

McCabe plays both sides and can flip when Gio rests and Timmins comes in.

Also, Bertuzzi looking too slow for Matthews Marner. Hope he finds those legs through camp. 🤞

It’s why I personally think that him getting primary top 6 time on the marlies is the better way for him to start the season. See what happens.

Yeah I agree there. Either that or you use him as trade material.

Yeah, I can see that too but I’m willing to bet his return wouldn’t be worth it atm. He doesn’t need to clear waivers, tells me the leafs should simply focus on building him up first and foremost in the AHL since he’s succeeded in it before, game by game anyways.

Having a ski-doo is great.

Spending $1000 on new skis for it is also great.

Great.

Anyone else feel like McCabe thinks he's a better stick handler than he is?

I feel like he wants to be an offensive Dman but just shouldn't. Always see him trying to make moves but just (frank)s it up.

It’s almost like all of a Dubas’s non first round picks are busts.

Cowan (28th overall) is going to play in the NHL. He would’ve went in the 2nd round of TOR didn’t take him.
