Someone recently said that Taylor Swift is our generations Beatles or Elvis. It was an interesting thought since I really was not alive for either phenomenon, but I can see the analogy, the interest in her is off the charts. - jd250 I know I'm an old fart, but I really don't get the obsession. Her music genre is of no interest to me cause to me if there are no instruments it ain't music, but I've never understood the interest in what celebrities are dating other celebrities. I couldn't be any less interested, but the way these people obsess over this stuff is scary. I mean, do these people have lives of their own?

You’re drastically overestimating the flyers contact with cutter, he’s an elite talent that’s growing his game. Their input will have very little impact on his game, just like any other organizations would. - ClaudeFather
a lot of it is on the players to adjust. look at the camps over the summer. few days to a week. they are given tools and drills and education. up to the players to apply what they pick up.
if a player is told to work on xyz to make it to the nhl, but they don't is that on the team or the player.

Many people do not have lives of their own, they focus on the accomplishments or demise of others. Its sad. That being said, I like Taylor Swift. With a 13 year old daughter I have to hear her music quite a bit, and I must say, she is probably the most prolific and successful songwriter I have ever known.

Maybe you need to think in the first place bub
The sample size used for Myers is 180 professional games. One would think that any hockey IQ issue would surface in that amount of games. That description of Myers did not exist in that period of games.
What else do you got bub? - MJL
so why was he waived by nashville? (27 games played)
Why was he waived by Tampa? (11 games played)
he has all the physical tools, what is holding back his NHL career?

Except for guitars, bass, keyboards, and drums, there are no instruments in her music.
I felt the same way about her until my daughter started listening. Then I realized she is quite a talented person who does write her own music. Sometimes with a collaberator but for the most part the songs are hers. Say what you want but she writes catchy pop tunes. And has been doing so for close to 15 years.

Anyway, back to hawkey.
Sochi won again yesterday. Michkov did not get a point but did register a team high 4 shots on goal. |

You're not making any sense. Educate yourself with the information I gave you so you're not making a continued fool of yourself. Player development is a process that begins in pee-wee and up and all the way to the NHL if the player makes it that far. It is not as you describe a cross your fingers and hope with it 90% on the player. It is different for every player. Some need more than others. Some skip some steps such as going to the NHL and a high level out of juniors. The overwhelming majority of players need development and coaching to work on all aspects of their game to get to a higher level. Not all stars are instantly stars. This is pretty basic stuff. The Flyers have been in consultation with Gauthier, his advisors and his coaches at BC about their strategy for developing Gauthier. Due to NCAA rules, the Flyers can't directly be involved. - MJL[/quote]
Do you have any documentation the flyers have been in contact with his coaches at BC about developing a strategy? You really think BC cares much about the what the flyers want or think?
One one hand you state they have talked to the coaches on the other they can't be directly involved. Well wouldn't talking to coaches be classified as directly involved? |

Really hoping the hype is real. I’ve never been this excited for a prospect in my time as a Flyers fan. I like what Gauthier has to offer to, I just wish he was a more creative player, instead what looks to to a trigger man. |

I’ll say again. This is all hindsight stuff. Anyone who says they didn’t like Myers while he was here an actively playing a Flyers uniform is a liar. |

Im not trying to get in an argument here, but how can you possibly think they are not in contact with him and his coaches? They are for sure telling Cutter what they would like him to work on in terms of his game. And you HAVE to be in contact with the BC coaches to do that. That is common sense. They Flyers cant be telling the kid they would like to see him do this or that and also keep the coaches in the dark about it.
Come on man, I know you love to say the sky is green if MJL says its blue, but again come on.

The flyers have very little to do with anything regarding cutter. Boston college is trying to win a national championship, they could care less what the flyers think, they will do what’s best for their team. |

To add, BC playing him at center should be pretty convincing evidence the Flyers and BC are working together on his development. Or do you think they reached that conclusion and decision independent of each other? |

Agree to disagree.
