Other picks from that draft year (ie. Wright, Cooley) are also not playing in the NHL regularly yet.

What some of us are saying is that he's not ready to play in our top 6.
So instead of having him play 5 minutes/game in Montreal it might be preferable for him to get tons of ice time in Laval.

In the end we are all just fefans, I'm sure the Habs management will do what's best for him.

yeah, there's no rush, it's not because he isn't dominating right out of the gate that he won't become a solid player in a few years. a portion of the fanbase will claim he's a total failure if he's ever sent to Laval but I'm sure the management and coaching staff will have good communication with him to make sure he understands what the plan is and what is expected of him.

besides, the habs aren't in "win now" mode, so there's a good chance he's able to stick around with the big club, make a few mistakes but continue his progression.
