Both teams decided to send a very bad lineup.

No one should be surprised the show was terrible.

Again, for me, I just did not see engagement, effort, hard work. Making big mistakes on the simplest of plays.

Things are never going to be perfect in preseason, and with players always playing on different lines, it is not always going to mesh.

But last night was very frustrating.

Gonna be honest, I stopped paying attention to the game. It was so boring I was doing laundry and stuff like that to catch up for the week, listening to it in the background.

There was not much of any physical aspect to the contest, from what I did see.

Lack of patience with Chucky and KK was the start of their downfall, which was piled on top of poor development and not giving them time in the minors or sheltering them in the NHL.

I am on the fence with Slaf's deployment and whether or not he should do a CC and head to the AHL for a bit.

I hope Reinbacker is back in Europe this year, and the AHL next year.... no need to rush him with all the defence prospects we have.

Lack of patience with Chucky and KK was the start of their downfall, which was piled on top of poor development and not giving them time in the minors or sheltering them in the NHL.

I said yesterday that he needed to show more and afterwards that him being penciled on the third pair of a weak lineup didn't look great for him.

His game yesterday, where he easily could have shined through the garbage, was extremely weak.

Right now, he's Laval bound in my book.

Oh and did someone tell Armia that his job was safe? What a pathetic showing on his part yesterday.

I think Barron is will be soon surpassed by the kids just drafted (if he has not already been), he will not be a long-term option on the Habs blue line unless something dramatic happens - either in his play or a trade of other defenders that creates a short-term opening for him.

It's too soon to give up on a guy that has alot of interesting tools, he just turned 21. Plenty of time for him to turn into a NHL defenseman.

But I do find his lack of compete concerning. Perhaps he will end up being the odd man out.

Considering how weak the competition is on the right side, the fact he can't clearly make himself part of the lineup ahead of guys like Kovacevic or Lindstrom is... well disappointing right now.

That lazy cow needs to be sent to Laval ASAP, why waste a roster spot on a guy that only shows up a few times a year? An example has to be set for the young players.

Either he wakes the (frank) up down there or we buy him out at the end of the year. Enough with that floating turd.

Armia and Gallagher on RW... that's a lot of money for not much

oh he'll probably be a decent dman in the league, you're right he is still very young, but both Reinbacher and Mailloux will be ahead of him in not too long imo

I don't mind Gallagher, even on that contract. At least for now.

Armia has become a problem, regardless of contract. There is no place for him in the line up that really makes sense. My hope is they waive him and send him to Laval, save about $1M on the cap and move on.

But I just do not see that happening.
