I don’t mind. Anyone who looks at Slafkovsky right now and thinks he’s a NHL player is either a homer or retarded. Now I will give you this… he’s only 19. I’m saying let him go down to the AHL and have a chance to become a top 6 winger instead of forcing it on him now. When he’s clearly nowhere close to that right now. Not in the same universe

he can learn at the nhl level as well

like you said, he's 19

it's not like this team is aiming at making the playoffs or anything

That Dach trade is looking more and more like a steal in my book ... as much as I liked him with the 2 amigos, he's much more effective as a centerman.
I now understand why MSL keeps him at center.

He's big, he can skate and he can carry the play ... now it's a matter of completing those lines by finding good wingers for him and Suzuki.

Will Roy eventually fill that role? ... not sure yet but it's promising.

Now that our D core has been pretty much drafted, we need to find top notch elements to complete the 2 top lines (I can see trades coming eventually).

The Dach trade and the Hutson pick was the highlights of a 2022 draft where we picks #1. Kent Hughes found a way to overcome Nick Bobrovs terrible draft record and saved our draft.

I don’t believe he can. I think they all know he needs to go down, but won’t because they picked him 1 overall.

To say Slafkovsky isn't ready is one thing.

To say he's not in the same universe is going a bit far.

He'll start the year in Laval.

But he's gonna play in the NHL this season at some point. Looks great out there.
