Wow, Atkinson looks good for a guy who missed all of last year! In fact that entire line looks good tonight, granted against the Bruins' B team.

I have already said why I prefer TK over Pastrnak .. I don't need to repeat it again for you. I mean, what can say to someone who thinks Hathaway is not a good hockey player?
- jd250

You have a reading comprehension problem. One, I did not ask you to repeat your ridiculous reasoning for choosing Konecny over Pasternak. I asked you how you bringing Tkachuk into the conversation, supports your opinion of Konecny over Pasternak

You need to review what I said about Hathaway. I did not state that he is not a good hockey player. I stated he is a good role player but he is not a very good player, as you stated. Just another example of your flawed player evaluations.

I guess you can say he makes less than half of what Pasta make so he’s more than half as good.

Didn't notice Allison tonight and that's a bummer, this is a game he should have been more noticable. He didn't do anything to help himself tonight.

Wait, let me understand, you didn't say "Hathaway is not a good hockey player", instead you said "he is a good role player but he is not a very good player". Hmmm ... yup, one of us has a comprehension problem ... want me to give you a hint again?

My point about Tkachuk is it was Tkachuk who willed his team to the Cup finals, while Pastrnak, with all this 61 regular season goals, didn't do half of what Tkachuk did for his team. It's the intangibles with the scoring that matter in the playoffs. Pastrnak has the scoring, no doubt, but he does not have the intangibles. I believe TK does.

And if Caufield could stay healthy.

Who gives a bleeping crap if brink is not fast in a straight line.

No hint needed. Somehow you think that is saying that Hathaway is a bad player.

Again, how does bringing in Tkachuk support your opinion of Konecny over Pasternak? Now if your opinion was Tkachuk over Pasternak, then it would be relevant. Honestly, in all seriousness, what's wrong with you?

Ah, the mystery intangibles that Konecny has over Pasternak.

Agreed! I'd love to see them get a chance over the vets. Also, love Chris Elliot Get a Life - that show was great!

Your quote yesterday: "I try to be respectful and I'm open to anyone disagreeing with me." So JD has an opinion different than yours and your resort to insults. Way to practice what you preach.

The real question is will York have a better career than Caufield.

There is no insult in that post. Only reality. You need to stick to hockey.

I love him on early letterman and love that his dad on Get a Life was his real dad since he was 1/2 of the famous comedy radio duo Bob and Ray.

"Reading comprehension problem" and "Ridiculous reasoning" are insults. How about trying "I disagree with your assessment/analysis of ..... because ...."

I admit I don't follow too much in the preseason as I haven't watched much of the games and only read Bill's blog and box scores (plus not all games are televised). I'll stick to hockey during the regular season when I watch the games. Why don't you try to stick to hockey as opposed to being condescending and negative towards others who don't share your opinions? It's not that difficult.

No, they're not insults. They're comments targeting his opinion. Not him personally.

Why don't you lead the way and show me how? The irony of how you repeatedly make non-hockey related comments and have the balls to tell someone else what to do. Look in the mirror, have some self awareness and correct yourself. It's not that difficult.

Yes, he was great on Letterman! Can still see him riding the bike to "Stand" on GAL. Classic!

They can’t send Brink down. Not unless you’re blatantly trying to tank. He’s earned a spot, and the Flyers owe it to their fans to give them something to watch.

It’s gonna be a rough year, but the kids like Brink, Frost, and Tippett at least give them something to be excited about and actually attend games.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure it’s gonna happen.

I agree. They can't send Brink down now. He played his 3rd game in 4 nights tonight and still had lots of jump. He has earned a spot and it's really that simple. You can send him down if it doesn't work out. I don't feel like Foerster has really earned a spot, but I'd keep him up on the big club too if it was up to me. I just have concerns that they won't keep both.

It's the Flyers. Young players have to beat out vets with no future. I hope they have changed but I have to see it first. I've said it before. They should be adding 4-5 new young players to the team. Don't become impatient and cut ice time at the first inevitable sign of a struggle. Live with the growing pains and develop at the NHL level, players who are NHL ready. Only when it becomes clear that it has become detrimental to the players growth, should they make a change.

Whatever you say, Dr. Freud! You've called me a fool, an idiot, someone with little reading comprehension, etc. You say the same to others on a regular basis. So I'll play along....let's take Phil Myers. I admit I thought he had promise when he was first up with the Flyers. I liked his size, ability to play the puck, and even recall him chipping in a little on offense. I thought we had a winner/hit. He has never been the same and you blame the Flyers even though he's been on 2 other teams and has not produced. I now think that he is one of those players (hi Jason Akeson) who had a fortunate good streak/run but is really not an NHL caliber player. It happens. You meanwhile will fight to the death blaming the Flyers. Why can't he just be a miss? It's ok to disagree...no need for insults.

This is now the third post in a row you've made towards me with non- hockey related comments. If you want to have a hockey conversation with me. Lose the condescension and the agenda. Otherwise, not interested. I will no longer engage with you on non-hockey related matters.

I'd keep Brink, Foerster, Zamula and Andrae on the big club, but we know that ain't gonna happen. Brink pretty much has to stay up with the big club at this point, but the other 3 are anyone's guess.
