Why is the media obsessed with Nylander situation? Well that’s Toronto media for you. And you keep coming back to read the threads so they will churn these out as long as folks like us keep reading and commenting
Why don’t they feel the need to report on the 2 dozen other pending UFA’s? Because they don’t play in Toronto - Turnitaround
Bertuzzi, Domi, Klingberg, and Samsonov are also pending UFAs playing in Toronto. Would be horrible asset management to lose them for nothing. Ergo, better try to trade them all in the next few days, even though they have 9 months to sort this out...

Domi, Bertuzi and Klingberg cost nothing to sign as free agents, so you’re not losing anything.
ThEn. The conjunction you should use when insulting other people's intelligence should probably be correct. Otherwise, you might end up being associated with the "idiots" you are insulting. - jfkst1
I wonder about the idi*ts commenting negatively toward Ek.
If you think he's a fraud, than you're the idiot for taking the time to come here to read and comment. Find something productive to do.

"Then" is an adverb. The conjunction in that construction is "if".
Nylander will be playing for Toronto on opening night. And most likely for the entire season. Unless NYI finally caves in and offers up JG Pageau who would help the Leafs kill penalties.
Any update on Buffalo adding a serious goalie this weekend (aka 3 weekends ago). - Cooleus
Just stop it with this garbage.
Do you really thing the Leafs are saying "hey everybody...we have one of the betters offensive players in the league to offer. If you can spare two of your overpaid and underachieving players, that would be a heck of a deal for us while contending for a Cup".

'Then' is an adverb conjunction in this case. "If" can be a conditional conjunction. Given the original sentence structure, you can remove "if" but another conjunction word such as "then" would still be needed. Regardless, the primary point of my post was under no circumstances was "than" appropriate as the conjunction.
