kulich/benson/savoie/rosen/rousek could take that second line slot from peterka if they earn it for opening night and sliding peterka to the third line

won't happen with greenway penciled in for that third line spot for the next 2 years

If I knew before the game that I was sending him down, I'd have sent him back to juniors along with the other 3 to rochester.

His placement on this line is encouraging because they know what he can do in a scoring role. Now they want to use him in a forechecking role. This is a huge test that will contribute to his future beyond the 9 games.

We're talking 32 point JJ, right? He's a fine player but he's not lighting up the league right now. He had an okay rookie season with ups and downs and then had a good tournament. I'm not as high on Peterka as done I've seen, I think he tops out as a 3rd line player when it's all said and done. That doesn't mean he can't contribute and be a good piece but I don't see him hitting big numbers

They got outplayed by Zach Benson to be fair.

I think Kulich and Rosen have bright futures, but they didn’t move the needle this preseason. Which is just fine with where they are development wise.

When does/did Rochester's camp start? They might want guys down there for that and have a plethora of forwards to send there. Defense, Johnson is the only real question mark so keep him up until they have to send him down
