I don't get you people, yes it's preseason and it doesn't matter in the standings. But you would think people would want to see a bit better. Playing a sound system doesn't just happen or magically appear. There was No semblance of anything other than what are goalie's went through last year. I hope it gets better and they adapt or else your just throwing your young goalie to the Wolves.

Mfw they didn't get a proven top-4 dman or an established goalie and the team looks the same as last year

I expected a commitment to playing sound defensively, sadly it appears it isn't happening.
I'll give it some time, but there isn't much we have seen that would cause one to have confidence in it happening

I hope they pull it together to and hopefully it doesn't take the first 20 or 30gms, cause it could mean the season. Can't stand when people say preseason doesn't matter, the only thing that doesn't matter is the standings. This was the time to implement especially breaking in New players, and teaching the young players the supposed system.

After watching Clifton in preseason games, he would not be on my final Sabres roster. Boston not playing him in their final playoffs games should have been a good warning sign not to sign him

To not expect too much too soon on the new guys, I'd update the defense pairings to the below (note that I am no Jokiharju fan, but not a lot of options):

Dahlin - Samuelsson
Power - E. Johnson
Clifton - Jokiharju

None of the above is optimal, but this is the bed they've made as an organization.

After watching Clifton in preseason games, he would not be on my final Sabres roster. Boston not playing him in their final playoffs games should have been a good warning sign not to sign him
