Guhle and Matheson are paired together.
So that leaves us with:
Matheson-Guhle
Harris-Savard
Xhekaj-Kovacevic
Barron? - Scabeh
I can live with these pairs.
If Barron can find last year's touch, he'll be rotating in and out with JackEye |

Still young, but I think Barron has played himself off the team, at least for the near future. And if he does not do something spectacular soon, he will be permanently pushed aside.

So who's the 7th guy?
Norlinder? He had his best game in the NHL yesterday but I'm not convinced that's enough.

that crazy talk when thre was not even a single game played yet
he was awesome at the end of the year !
i think a more appropriate line of thought is he might be pushed out buy Norlinder right now, at least for the first 10 games
then who knows ? Not the end of the world if he comes back just later when there an injury ? |

10 games in the minors playing big minutes might be what he needs |

Kovacevic is having a really good camp btw.
No doubt he's in the lineup when the season begins. - Scabeh
I wish that big bugger had a mean streak in him.
He's softer than the inside of a mouse's ear..

There are lots of kids coming up, he will be pushed aside by them.
Norlinder has looked far superior to Barron so far... I think Norlinder might actually stick.

yeah except we were waiting on Norlinder 3 years ago, kinda a good example to my point actually
thing changes, I'm just saying Barron could very well bounce back, and eh might only be next year !
nobody thought Norlinder would still be there with 1 game left... |

Then you keep Norlinder until Baron burns the AHL or Norlinder needs big minutes down there. |

I do not think Barron is better than the kids coming up, nor do. I think he will be an upgrade to what we have currently in the top 6.
That is just my opinion.
If we did not have a truckload of better defencemen coming up, maybe I think differently. But as I said if Barron does not show major improvement soon, he will have missed his shot (at least, in Montreal).

I do not agree, but like you said, just my opinion too !
I still think he has an higher ceiling than Harris ( that I can very well see be traded)
time will tell ! |
