If Chytil is 100% at the start of the season, does it make sense to put him on an injured list for a few games (save cap space) and let othmann / Cuylle slot in for a bit before a trip back to hartford? give them a taste and then send them back, unless they prove they can play top 9 minutes |

Laf seems better than yak. He just looks like a current 3rd line player.
Most fans are at their last nerve so the the core vets not leading the charge enough and the kids not taking the next step. 3 different coaches for this core. Eventually players will be shipped out if they don’t progress. Will be a slow team out of the gate for sure - nyrangers2
They can try, but all ___ has to do is invoke either their NMC or NTC. |

Well being that rookies can play 9 games in the NHL without hurting their first year of ELC, that could work out quite fittingly. |

that's not accurate
it's 9 NHL games for a player still with junior eligibility that can still be sent back to juniors without burning a year
Rangers have no one on the roster like that right now

Othmann is still slide eligible though right? Not sure Cuylle is.
Edit: Neither are. |

Most of the changes will happen after 2026. Another 2-3 years with a lot of the older players. Unfortunately I see a "rebuild" in 3 years again. No young elite players or anyone in the farm that moves the needle. |

No idea who this guy is, but like the optimism

The Rangers went 1-5 in the preseason while learning a new system with a veteran core back in 2013-2014. And they were horrendous early on. They only went to the Cup final that year. #NYR #GlassHalfFull |

We suck seemingly every preseason.
It's no fun to watch other teams do well and have to come up with excuses for why ours stinks it up. Does it end up meaning much once the regular season starts? Not so much, but I do think Quick is a huge concern.
It was incredibly obvious to me as early as GG's first preseason that there was no system or structure in place and that we would win mostly in spite of him, which we did. I feel more optimistic about Lavs as a coach but preseason woes become more concerning as each year passes due to the aging of our core coupled with the lack of anything significant from the 3 young guns that are supposed to become key pieces as the vets age out.
I just don't like how people act like they can't understand how fans take preseason so seriously. That's not what's happening so much as it's just annoying to watch them suck in every aspect of the game while other teams seem to have no problem getting it going, even a tiny bit. |

Was that also the year Aaron Voros channeled Rocket Richard and scored like 10 goals in a month? |
