You make a fair point on Lohrei. Sending him down to start the year wouldn't be a terrible thing, I just think he has earned the 9 game look. He does have some learning to do, but at this point he looks better than Gryz on D. Could be the shiney new toy syndrome you spoke of. However Lohrei's play has earned him a spot in my opinion.

Last preseason game coming up. Interested to see how the roster shakes out.

Damn, both the Bruins and Bruins fans seem to have turned in Grzelyck despite him consistently putting up top 4 results. Mind you, Mike Reilly got the same treatment, but I didn’t think it was a Boston thing after rehabbing Lindholm

Most of the "animosity" towards Gryz is related to his post season issues related to his size. He gets beat up badly in the post season so he is a liability on the whole. I like the guy and think he is a good player but you can't ignore the history.

His history doesn't help him, and he is one of few players that other teams have expressed at least some interest in.

There is always a scape goat. Doesn't matter how his numbers are. It is very easy to focus on a player and find negative plays.

Gryz is a very good hockey player and extremely underrated. Not to mention, you probably start to corrode the locker room if you trade McAvoy's buddy.

I dont think trading Gryz will be that big of a deal. McAvoy might be slightly sad for a while, but he will get over it. He is underrated........until he isnt. You know what you're getting at this point, and Lohrei > Gryz.

Gryz is expendable and also has some interest. That is why he is the most logical to move.

Nobody has turned on Gryz. It's simply clear that an upgrade on the blueline is coming and he's the odd man out. Don't come in here and make poop up. As for last season would you actually put Gryz in over Orlov? Are you on drugs? Why haven't you shared them?

Reilly's play or lack thereof got him where he is. Dude couldn't be a regular in Ottawa when they were super bad.

Heinen will be the scapegoat. Don't remember anyone loving him last time he was here. I don't really see Gryz as a scapegoat. He's generally well liked amongst fans. But Lohrei is going to push it's Gryz that will get pushed.

I also don't agree with that. I would ship Carlo and keep Gryz but they're not going to do that.

Also who knows? Both Lindholm and Carlo get bit by the injury bug often. They may need to keep him.

I still see back-handed cross ice passes in the neutral zone in my nightmares...

Bruins might be in the running for league lead in turnovers this year.

Right now? Yes, I probably play him over Orlov. They’re similar quality, but Orlov is an age risk.

As for Rielly, Ottawa stuck him with the Ick in his last year there. He was excellent for them, but when an NHL coach decides you’re cooked, you’re pretty much done if you’re over 25. Doesn’t matter where you go, that’s your rep now.

Oh come on dude. Are you honestly sitting here telling us you would pick Gryz over Orlov? Come on, there is not one single coach (active or not) that would play Gryz over Orlov. Not one.

Once again, yea. He’s cheaper, not at the age where decline is expected, and has actually been in a top pairing role and thrived.

I also don’t really care what the average NHL coach would do. Your guy is pretty good, and he still tried Forbort-McAvoy. I watched Paul Maurice flounder my team for years.

Are you in the most roundabout way possible lobbying for Winnipeg to acquire Gryz? Just say it buddy. No one in Boston dislikes Gryz, he's from here for (frank) sakes. He's been a very good Bruin. But Lohrei will most likely make him expendable. Such is life.

Kid worked for it. Produced with better players on his line. Made lesser players look better when he wasn't playing with the top line talent. He has earned it.

Agree to disagree. But hey, we will send Gryz to winnipeg for an unprotected 1st rounder. Seems like he is really wanted there.

Yes. Sweeney power move. Trade for a forward you should have drafted.
