sure. Though allison doesn't factor into the brink/forest equation
Nic D should have been waived. - hello it's me 2050
He's garbage but he serves a purpose, at least in the Tortorella world. |

You were supposed to be worried about "hello it's me 2050" being patient enough for the Flyers to make room for both Brink and Foerster. |

Flyers now have 12 forwards with Allison Waived. Add Brink and you get 13. Sit someone the 4th line and you have room for both. Is my math wrong?

Allison deserves to get waived, hold on...
1. he is injury history
2. he deserves a chance for a team to pick him up and have to play him
yes, would have preferred ND

yes 13 forwards. Who on that 4th line is sitting for brink or forest? If the coach rightfully sits Nic D then I will say good job coach.
Allison was gonna be the 13th fwd regardless if he wasn't waived. So again waiving him is irrelevant when it comes to forest or brink.

Torts is absolutely gonna dress Poehling, Hathaway and ND as the 4th line. So if he’s planning on dressing both Foerster and Brink, who sits?
Personally, until the inevitable injuries occur, I think he’s gonna rotate the 2 kids in and out of the lineup.
The D is more interesting. I don’t think Torts has any love for Walker and he’ll have no prob sitting him. However, he loves Seeler and while Staal might occasionally get a night off, Torts will have him in the lineup more often than not. I guess the D will be something like:
Sanheim-York
Andrae/Zamula-Fisto
Staal/Andrae/Zamula-Seeler

I don’t, not with his injury history. He’s a 26 year old forward who was never able to earn a top 9 spot on one of the worst teams in the league. Guys like Allison are all over the AHL |

i dont and if so who cares at the end of the day. he is 26 and hasn't put it together yet. |

It's not the end of the world if he does. I just think he will. He costs nothing, generally people like his game and believe it or not their are teams with worse forward depth than the Flyers.
Not betting the house on him getting claimed or anything though.

I think his injury history will give teams pause, but also the fact that he's 26 and still has RFA status is valuable. Plus, his 785k cap hit. Certainly should be on this team above Deslauriers. Wouldn't shock me if he turns into a Nic Aube-Kubel ie getting claimed by a good team and serving a decent bottom 6 role. Also wouldn't shock me if he goes unclaimed and gets hurt a week into the AHL season. |

Supposedly he was a bit dinged up but nothing that would keep him out of a regular season game. |

I like Allison but he’s never gonna be a star. He’s had enough opportunities. |

His story may not be written just yet. It’s a big year for him. Whether it’s here or somewhere else. He needs to put it together and he needs to stay healthy. The |

I don't think he will. Just because he is waived, doesn't mean that he won't be on the roster. If he clears, he can still be kept on. I doubt that is going to happen and he's going to be sent down to the AHL.

Good points.
A team would really be taking a big leap of faith by claiming Allison who only has around 100 pro games under his belt. Contrast that w/ NAK who had over 300 at the time he was claimed and he was a year younger. |
