With all the stupid stuff that goes on here, what on earth did he do to warrant that? - Lunaion

Their top 4 upgrade isn't in their top 4 and they have a completely illogical RD-RD 3rd pair. There's no good way to spin that. - Lunaion
The top 4 upgrade looks like a failure so far, but Clifton/Johnson bottom pair keeps the Bryson/Boosh's/Stillman's out of the lineup.
RD-RD argument doesn't work in that Dahlin is better on his off wing.
Let's see what the regular season brings

Helly 50% retained = 4.25 x 7
for
2 of Savoie / kulich / ostlund / rosen + olofsson + UPL or Comrie + 1st round pick

No I didn't mean it by that at all, just wanted to pivot to the mittlestadt conversation is all. Contract wise they still have his RFA rights which is a nice bargaining chip to have when it's time to re-sign - Zschalberg
I'm pulling for him myself...it has taken awhile for him to get there, but better late than never...now just carry on from last season and get there!
Just hope they don't try Olofsson with him again, lol.
Mitts next contract is interesting. I don't know what to expect...60 pts on the 3rd line would be ubber productive though. |

Sounds like you're describing him as a 59 point 3C last year, who could improve on that.
In reality, he barely played 3C. He played some 3LW, but most of his production came on the 1st and 2nd lines + PP. If he plays mostly 3C + 2nd PP this year, the numbers likely drop. 75 points would take cracking the top 6 + 1st PP, imo. - Lunaion
A valid point. Nearly 20% of his ice time was centering Oloffson and Jost, a combination that benefits no center with that being 23% of his EV time. 10% of his EV time was with Skinner and Tuch on the wing. The next highest with top line players was Tuch-Thompson-Mittlestadt with 4.3% and no goals scored at EV.
Playing with better players and in better situations helps players. If they stick him with Jost and Oloffson again I would expect his numbers to be low. Starting him with Greenway and Benson will be an interesting combination to see how it goes. I also would expect him to still have ample power play time, maybe not PP1 but real minutes

LD need to switch over frequently. RD almost never. There's a big difference.
Dahlin may be comfortable on either side, but that doesn't make him better. If he were, then signing 2 RD makes even less sense.

Hellebuyck 7 year extension.
Got to hand it to Chevy. By all accounts this guy wanted out of winnipeg less than six months ago and now he's locked up with term. - Michael Ghofrani
Hellebuyck and Scheifele got the same 7 year deals
lots of cheddar for 2 guys when they are 35, 36 and 37 years old

Cost of business, these guys had 1 foot out the door a few months ago. If the plan is to never actually rebuild this is what you end up doing to keep the fans around. |

Ouch. It isn't the 6-3 Browns game, but that's too close for comfort lol. |

Wow thats solid. Amazing take Pach.
But Adams still sucks because he bridged him. Should of made him sign 8 years then. And he sucks even more because he overpaid for him today when he should of made him sign for less 3 years ago.
But that not even the worse part. Have you seen his hairline?? How the F are you suppose to win a freaking stanley cup with that sh*t!! Rant over - ZiggyBuff

He was brought up way too early imo and going through Ralph did not help him, that's for sure. Donnie G loves him and I wouldn't be surprised to see him be the guy they move up whenever there's an injury in the top 6. He can play center, and play wing, can keep up with the best players on our team, and seems to have figured out that the best way to play is full speed. |

I certainly thought it would take $10M to make him stay here...for a 2-3 years, not 7 years!!!! I don't think I'd want the Sabres to sign him to that fee for half the price. WTF is Chevy doing? |

Sure feels like Benson might take some opportunities away from him, maybe Quinn + JJ too. Hopefully not Kane.
Mitts playing well in a reduced role and putting up fewer points could be a good thing.
