i was surprised to see Elam was 2nd on the team in tackles vs. the Jags. Lots of solos too. Then i figured it was probably because the receiver he was covering kept getting the ball.
I wanted Elam to be the Bills pick. I just loved his measurables. Reminded me of Antonio Cromartie. Tall and lanky and had NFL pedigree. Bills didn't have anything like him. His awareness though in the Jags game. Like come on, there is no other receiver in his vicinity. Tighten up bra. He should be poised to bounce back this week. We'll see.
How much has Oliver been playing next to Daquan Jones? Oliver has been spectacular this year. Was looking at his numbers compared to other DT's and he could be AllPro. Hopefully it continues without Jones. Jones is dam near as big of a loss as Milano.
They built this team to score points and claim to have a next man up mentality. Prove it. - Hatboro_Swords
Good post
Beane picked Elam wanting more for sure
I think moving forward, it’s gonna be more high scoring games. Defense lost it’s heart and soul. |

Still feels like they could have gotten much better value out of all their cap space this summer....really the last 3.

Here's the 2023-24 start of season cap table!
8 teams begin the season using LTIR, #LeafsForever has the highest cap hit ($94.9M)
#Blackhawks have the most cap space ($11M)
9 non-LTIR teams have less cap space than a minimum salary contract |

Probably why Norman was brought in because of his knowledge of the defense, might need someone real quick. Especially with all the injuries. - Buff36
Yeah, that makes better sense. Stop gap signing. |

I liked Elam to, was a bit surprised they took him though. He really didn't fit are D style. More of a press cover guy. That play Hyde got beat on should have been Elam's bread and butter play. Hit him at the line and press coverage him. Made his name in college doing that. Hopefully he finds his way, we need him to.
And Jones is a huge loss, basically lost 2/3rds of your triangle in the middle. Hopefully Poona can step up. |

Where can I bet the under on Boston at 103 points - Hank Balling
I'm just so shocked that people seem to not expect a drop off from Boston after losing their top 2 centers. I know they're a defensive team and I still expect them to be good but 103? Come on. |

They've effectively been the 3rd line often the last 8 years. No one has ever called them that.
In their final year, that's not changing.

That's a 32 point drop off?
Might take 100 to make the playoffs, 103 isn't that high.

I think it will be hard for them to replicate the goal scoring from last year.
Too many career years happened to all repeat that success imo |
