Can't believe this game will be decided with a shootout. For shame |

This game is a reflection of the next 81 games. Ups and downs but they can compete! |

Yeah, the team played pretty damn well.
The two stinkers gave Leafs momentum everytime so Allen needs to be better to prevent that.
Overall great game, lots of positives.

Entertaining game. Shame they lost, up 5-3 and not hanging on to it is rough. Some bad penalties and bad turnovers tonight. Certainly makes for entertaining viewing this year. |

way more than negatives for sure, if this is the kind of game they'll bring every night they definitely have something to work with this year. |

Our offense was a bit more potent than last year ... it's only one game but I liked what I saw overall. |

Was a fun game.
Kids looked good, Slaf-Dach-Newhook were really good. 4th line chipped in some offence.
They also came back, when they were down, which did not happen often last year.
But defensive lapses and penalties hurt. A few bad goals allowed (even if Allen was lights out in OT).
Lots of PP opportunities wasted, especially in OT. Time for Burrows to move on.
Also, they looked bad ( really bad) 6-5, too.
But they scored 5 goals and came out with 1 point.
So not terrible, |

it isn't very hard to be better than what was basically an AHL team with all the injuries...

I don't think there's any doubt that if they stay healthy they'll be fun to watch and should compete a bit longer than previous seasons. Slaf had a good game, many did actually. we'll have an interesting winter. |

As a neutral observer, down by 2 with less than 5 minutes left to end up winning used to be called a character win. But I guess if you're persona is to have a most hated team rather than a favorite team, you gotta spin however you can |
