Hey! A point is a point and I’m glad they eeked that out as best as they could.

And I know it’s going to be an “any given night” that lines will perform or underperform….but that start should fill that 2nd line with such confidence. And it’s nice to have 2 solid lines that can contribute! And 2 goals from your 4th line always helps too!!

And, the way they finished this game….if they don’t learn quickly from this, they will suffer the same fate over and over.

But this team is goi g to be fun to watch, on a consistent basis, for once in forever!!!

Newhook scoring in his 1st regular season game with his new team must've felt great for him, let's hope he makes COL regret trading him

I hate to say this, I really do….

But, does anyone else find it hard to watch Gallagher skate and play right now??

I don’t see how he can be an effective player anymore…??? What will he be able to do??

bah, I love Gally and I know he isn't looking great right now, but I'll let others do the criticism, there's already enough of that to go around here. the season is still early, hopefully he'll be able to make the necessary adjustments and elevate his game to an acceptable level.

It just looks like he’s skating in sand. I hope he can stay healthy and get back to his productive ways!! Cuz, you’re not getting rid of, or buying out, that contract

I can't tell for sure how things will pan out for him this season but I'm convinced he knows he needs to do better, I can't imagine he's happy with his play right now. we'll see.

It seems like he “may” be struggling with his new role or “style” as dictated by MSL.

Seems like he’s caught in the middle…..

I mean, it could be that his body can't keep up anymore, which would suck because we've already seen a lot of good habs players retire prematurely because of physical issues.

obviously would've loved the win, but they got 1 point on the road, against a much better team (on paper at least), I wouldn't say it's all that disappointing.
- Pat1993

I dont see them beating Toronto all that much this season. Leafs should win the division this season.

1 point is very good, on the road and their opener

pretty sure games between both teams are always a nail biter, no matter who are in the lineups, so the habs could very well win the remaining 2 games against the laffs.

Habs usually have better luck against the Laffs

The only thing to do would be to manage his minutes, no?

As of now anyway

I knew he would be the next scapegoat

and it isn't like that current defense core and goaltending in TOR are all that intimidating.

Not a scapegoat, chicken.

Just an obvious observation. He really looks out of place already.

And this was evident last season as well. I’m not saying anything new here

Nope. Different roster, same glaring issues with that team.

And it’s not like TreeDying did a great job with Calgary…..

considérant que c'est l'une des bonnes rivalités de la league, c'est assez wack en effet.

Yep, I was far from impressed ... their stars up front saved their butt last night against a rebuilding team.

It's going to get ugly come playoff time if they don't play better than last night.

I don't think anyone wants to make him a scapegoat but his lack of foot speed was very apparent last night.

At least the guy shows up every night and tries his best ... 4th line minutes until he finds his form again?

Une fois à toutes les 2 ans ferait bien mon affaire ... c'est habituellement des parties que je n'écoute pas.
