I have no idea where he’d be willing to play but I do know it doesn’t hurt to let it be known that it would be very cool if teams in Canada, NY, Boston decided to start bidding as well. Either way, Jays will very likely pick up the phone.

Rogers is never going to have the budget the top franchises have, it just won't happen and its widely known. I'd love for them to spend 350M like the Mets but it just won't happen.

Long term its a bad move for most teams even if they can spend, the chances he pitches for any extended time is low, his hitting will go down over the years with his pitching injuries, he is going to be way way overpaid.

Not a smart move, Vladdy was very upsetting last year but throwing the bank at Ohtani so we lose Vladdy is stupid.

2) Not have an incompetent GM who won't trade away the top prospect in baseball and a player for a player that is about the same as the player you traded for.

You have to wonder about Jays spending. They are not a small market team by any stretch. When they won two championships, Jays out spent every team in the majors. The Jays were the first team to have over 4 million fans during a season. Yet they hire dollar store coaches like Guillermo Martinez, they hire a tandem of Shapiro and Atkins who are very good penny pinching business people, instead of keeping Alex Anthopoulos (who is more interested in having the best team in baseball every year than penny pinching)
