I wonder what MSL's shelf life is... I am sure he is safe for the next 2 years or so, but at some point, he needs to become a much better in-game coach (or have much better assistants to support him. Or likely both!).

I think he is a solid development coach and good for this part of the re-build.

well I guess the hope is he's able to learn and improve as a head coach, to match the young guys' learning curve on the ice...

personally I think some are annoyed of him mostly because the media in general really like the guy right now, as odd as it sounds lol.

you're not totally wrong on that one Pat. media like him a lot, but like everybody MSL makes mistakes. we all do. and he probably makes a little more of them than others since he is new at this job.

As I said, he seems like the right coach for now with all the needs in development over the next few years. He is good for the young group, that way.

But right now, I see him getting out-coached a lot... part of me wonders if it is mistakes, part of me wonders if he is trying out different players in different scenarios.

But in-game adjustments seems to be a struggle for the Habs.

not sure what media you read and listen to but I've heard a lot about how he needs to improve his in-game decisions to avoid being out-coached by his opponent.

in your case it seems to be just black or white, either you like him or you hate him, yet nuance is such a nice and refreshing concept.

as we already talked about, adding some experience behind the bench seems like the logical thing to do to help him out in this process, not sure why it hasn't been done yet but it's never too late.

MSL has even said this himself……he still needs to get used to the speed on the bench and thinking ahead. He still gets caught up in the play somewhat….

Je ne faisais que niaiser pour ce soir ... j'espère qu'il a enfin compris le message qu'il doit travailler à chaque soir afin de mériter un poste dans la LNH.

Contrairement aux autres années, il y a maintenant beaucoup de jeunes qui lui pousse dans le dos et le Ch peut se priver de ses services.

Si jamais il et rappelé par le gros club, il devra prouver qu'il le mérite.
