Bass didn't help the cause - Buff36
Yup. He didn't help much at all with two misses.
Yet, I can't get on him too much as he has been very reliable..he had a bad game...an anomaly.
The rest is becoming very concerning to me. |

Well it should, I think we deserve a new toy or two. Change the rules for this season, the refs do it for the Chiefs, in game, all the time! - QuinnFan
The referees did it for the Bills on the last play of the game last night...? |

Something missing in that offense. Very inconsistent in there play. Say one thing, those LB's for the Giants had good games, especially 58 |

The Miami game this year, but their defense sucks. - buffalofan19
That looked like Josh putting the team on his back more than anything to me. I mean, if Dorsey drew up him going 21 for 25 for 320y and 4TDs, good plan, but just looked like Allen was hitting on everything they tried...and their defense sucks as you say. I don't really put a lot of credit at Dorsey's feet on that one. Should I?

With all the injuries on defense, if this team is going to do anything worth noting, it's going to have to come from the offense. McDermott seems to be able to scheme up some things to make them serviceable so far, but they're going to have to likely win track meets against teams like Philly, Cincinnati, Miami and probably Kansas City with what they are missing.
You can always use more weapons but I have very little confidence in their ability and willingness to use them. Dorsey deserves blame here but a lot of this falls on Allen too. Unless the play is some sort of design for a specific player (see the Harty touchdown), or a broken play out of desperation, he is pretty unwilling to throw to anyone but Diggs and sometimes Davis. It's why Kincaid's numbers are so pedestrian. A lot of that falls on your quarterback. - buffalofan19
Josh has to throw to the other reveivers.
I'm curious how long he would do that for if the receivers don't show the ability to consistently makes plays when the ball comes their way. |

They did, then again it really should've just been replayed as the receiver had a handful of Taron's face. I can't believe they didn't hand the ball off though. Felt like Russ throwing instead of handing off to Beast Mode again. |

With how effective Josh and the team are under center, I don't understand why they seem go away from it as much as they do. |

When Josh plays well, it's credit to him, and when he doesn't, it's Dorsey's fault?
I'm nowhere near enough of an expert to make that kind of assessment.
I defer to the guys that watch the All 22 on The Athletic, and others like the Cover 1, Air Raid group on Twitter. |

Chris Brown said something on OBL that Dorsey alluded to the fact that Allen feels more comfortable in shotgun. I go back and forth on this. The easy argument is "they're more effective under center, so they should do it more", but at the same time, part of me wonders if the (in)frequency of the formation is what makes it so effective.

I've been stressing air yards for the last 2 years. Josh Allen is at his best on throws 15-20 yards +/- down the field. They had a graphic that proved it last night. Also, I was shocked to hear the Bills are the best team in the league at play action. The Bills had some good chunk plays off play action in the first half. Did they run one play action pass in the 2nd half? That is something that drives me insane with the play calling. They make adjustments assuming the defense is going to adjust to what is working for them. At least they scrapped the RPO. Allen is not very good at it. I think the quick read and pull doesn't let him focus where he needs to throw.
Dudes, seriously though, was that throw to Morris on the TD unbelievable or what?
Kudos to the coaching staff, the scouts, Beane or whoever else that saw something in Bernard. Guy has confidence and now knows he can play in the league. He stopped the bleeding on the trap play the Giants kept running. And because he stuffed that run, the G-Men weren't confident running that play on the untimed down. Thank god. |

Thought he made alot of nice plays. I did see a missed tackle or two. Thought the good outweighed the bad by alot.
Unlike edmunds. Lots of bad and a good pass breakup once a game.
Thought our linebackers played nice. Man are they fast.
DL did not get consistent pressure which happens. Daquan is missed.
CB played like 2nd year players. Elam had one nice pass breakup late in game. Maybe hope? - ZiggyBuff

Can you name one game over the last two seasons, where we weren't playing a dumster fire team, where you thought, "the offense is really schemed well, they're picking this team apart and exploiting their weaknesses." I can't. That's on the OC IMO. - QuinnFan

Bills miss Milano’s steady tackling - Boss34
Matt Milano is one of the 5 best linebackers in football. The dropoff between him and the next guy is going to be massive in any category, be it tackling, coverage or anything else. The Bills are going to have to make due with a patchwork defense for the rest of the year. The offense is going to have to make up for that deficiency, and right now, they're nowhere close to that.

Playcalling is not the issue. It’s the execution of the plays.
- Diggs horrible offside killed a drive
- Gabe Davis fumble
- Gabe Davis bad drop
- 2 bass missed field goals
- Knox drop at the very end / bad pass
I think it’s “cool” on Twitter to give Dorsey a hard time. He’s an easy scapegoat. So I get it.
Even the jets game …. Allen threw horrible INts. That’s not in Dorsey. Also the jets defense owned Mahomes and hurts. Not just Allen. Allen is the one that got the bad publicity
So hating on Dorsey is “cool” and you want to blend in with the crowd. Sure go for it.

Didn't they only have a handful of wins last year though? Seems like they went from SB champ to NFL chump pretty quickly. While that felt good at the time, it wasn't really the statement win against a great defense...like we thought it was. |

This is excellent 3ER
Rpo being scrapped is something I noticed as well
Josh needs to be protected and RPO definitely puts him in a bad position physically as well |
